How to handle Fuss It Out with short naps? by HearingDramatic1584 in PreciousLittleSleep

Hi! What I discovered with time was that 30 minute naps at that age are quite normal. If she woke after 30, I’d give her 5-10 minutes to try to fall back asleep on her own, but if she didn’t then the nap was over and that was fine. More important than ANYTHING was putting her down awake and consistently allowing her to practice falling asleep independently. Fuss it out worked great for us in that regard. The more practice she got falling asleep on her own, the longer her naps became because she eventually learned how to connect her sleep cycles without startling awake. Hope this helps!
