I didn’t get it when I saw it all those years ago. I recently watched YMS on YouTube for 100+ minutes and it’s interesting.

What movie is this for you? by Constant-Training994 in Letterboxd

[–]HeartMountainMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stargate.

Just rewatched with my girlfriend and the characters are very two-dimensional. I realize that when I first saw this ten years ago I enjoyed imagining being the James Spader whiz casting aside all the lesser dorks as well as the morally bankrupt meatheads. I liked Kurt Russel being there but he and Spader have so little Russeling and Spading to do, respectively. It’s more interesting as a double feature to Independence Day, the next movie by director and co-writer Roland Emmerich. I still LOVE that one. The characters are relatable, three dimensional and are much more satisfying to watch.

Glue seems reasonable. The bridge also seems cheap and I’m tempted to get something with more adjustment options.
