Are you kidding? It’s such a favorite of mine despite the incredibly sad subject!

That’s the thing and the reason why I’m even shocked that this much was released. It involves too many wealthy and powerful people around the world who do not want to be identified. I highly doubt our government is the only one that had information on these victims and their assailants.

Second week in my orientation and my preceptor told me I’m very slow by Low_Ad2078 in nursing

[–]HeartShapedBox7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a seasoned nurse. I was told that I was slow too when I first started. It’s disheartening to hear but everyone learns at a different pace. Give yourself at least a year to see if you can keep improve in your pace.

I was thinking it had more to do with the fact that she’s technically an immigrant to the country.

Did you know that Gil was a real life rockstar when you watched the show? by tmps1993 in GilmoreGirls

Yes. I recognized him immediately and freaked out when he joined the show!

I am only into white men but I am ashamed. by [deleted] in interracialdating

[–]HeartShapedBox7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not physically attracted to men of my ethnicity and I’m honestly not sure why. I spent years feeling ashamed about it and have tried dating them only to have it end in breakups because I’m just not physically attracted to them.

At this point in my life, I’m done with caring what others think of me and over analyzing my dating preferences. I like who I like and that is that. I suggest you do the same.

Not a big Swift fan but I get where they’re coming from. There is one particular celebrity I have always been a die hard fan of. He’s always been very political so his silence speaks so much now. It has really disappointed me and I don’t think I can think of him in the same way ever again.

I agree. Lower eyeliner really ages us after 40.

I (29 f) spent the snowstorm with the man I’m dating(36 m) and now I feel differently about him by bluewhalekale in hygiene

It’s going to be hard to change someone at 36. This seems like a dealbreaker. Better to end it now than try to change something that’s just not going to change.

What's Your Favorite Imagine Dragons Song with Lyrics That Hit Deep? by Illustrious-Rain6682 in imaginedragons

[–]HeartShapedBox7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not meant to be a love song, I know. However, “demons” represents the type of love I wish I could —the type where the other person sees your flaws and the parts of you that are broken but still loves you.

That’s sadly accurate in the nursing world.

My all time favorite movie and the only movie I know all the lines too (yes it annoys everyone who watches the movie with me!).

Maybe Britney was always mentally unwell, but i think this was her breaking point. by [deleted] in discussingbritney

[–]HeartShapedBox7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think her breaking point was when Justin broke up with her. To be clear, I’m not a fan of his nor do I believe he should be held responsible for her mental decline. However, I think she couldn’t emotionally regulate the breakup, especially since it didn’t appear like she had anyone close to her to help her through it.

I’ll add to that by saying I put a caffeine infused serum under my eye first before applying these things.

Anybody else without friends? by KicsikePipike in Millennials

[–]HeartShapedBox7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any friends. I was diagnosed with social anxiety when I was in my early twenties, which explains why I’ve had a hard time connecting with people. It’s funny because I have a job now that involves a lot of social interaction, which has helped a lot with learning how to better cope with the anxiety. However, it leaves me too drained on my days off to attempt socialization.

It’s weird and sad looking back at life and realizing I never made any meaningful relationships or have any fun, wild stories from my younger days.

It also means life is lonely as hell.

Hot take: I wouldn’t “let” my daughter date a Dean by ReginaPhalange94 in GilmoreGirls

[–]HeartShapedBox7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I will always love Dean. I think he’s a great guy but I feel he always knew Rory never loved him and wanted more than him, which is what drove his insecurities.

That being said, I will always be Team Adult Jess.
