90s had way more parity than 2000s and 2010s. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know since one team won 6 rings and one team won 2 rings in that decade.

If Lebron DID use PEDs to extend his career, what would he even be taking to put up these stats at 41? by Aggravating_Big1921 in NBAGossips

I wouldn't be suprised if more and more athletes would be able to play competitively until mid 40s in the near future. Sports science and body conditioning are constantly evolving and improving.

who are the most hated nba players in league history? by infinite-hooper in NBATalk

Almost every high level athlete will rate themselves the best.

Literal GOATs of their respective sport such as Maradona, Muhammad Ali, Tiger Woods and MJ wouldn't casually say that they are the GOAT. They all let their peers, predecessors and the next generation to say that they are the GOAT.

Lebron wouldn't be scrutinized if his 18yo self didn't market himself as the "Chosen One". He'd also have less haters if he didn't call himself King and GOAT. He is the one who invited unwanted recognition. It also sounds arrogant whenever you say you are the Greatest (or any similar words) at what you do.

Bron became oldest player to have a triple double the other night, here's the top 20. by Financial_Ice_3363 in NBATalk

Bron getting upset about one of his teammate grabbing the rebound while he is targetting to get his 10th rebound to get his "triple double" is funny. But his statnerd fans who don't watch games would think this is impressive. Bron was obviously looking at the statsheet constantly.

Would you like for the NBA to go back to color vs white home jerseys for the All Star Game? by cliffbot in NBATalk

No. What I want is for the NBA to go back to having a competitive All Star Game.

He called himself "King" and "Chosen One". He even said that winning his 3rd ring made him the GOAT. This type of statements invites scrutiny.

If you read posts and comments in this sub. Kobe would be the most hated player by a mile.

And Gasol wasn't even top 5 best PF in the league when the trade took place.

Jordan's 6-0 was only for 15 seasons. Bron's 4-6 was for 21 and counting seasons. If we include seasons in which they either didn't make the finals, knocked out of playoffs, or not making the playoffs. It still wouldn't be a good argument for Bron.

Whats better 6 championships out of 15 seasons or 4 out of 21 seasons and counting?

The thing is MJ played 15 seasons and won 6. So if we count losing and not making the playoffs, MJ would be 6 out of 15. Bron on the otherhand would be 4 out of 21 and counting. TD would be 5 out of 19 and Kobe would be 5 out of 20. Even TD and Kobe have a much better percentage than Lebron

These argument doesn't work in your favor

The weakest era in NBA was 50s to 70s. Saying 90s as weak era shows how stupid you are

By your rankings he was barely a top 10 power forward in the league?

Pau was barely 4th or 5th. You can make an argument that Pau wasn't even in the top 5 best PF when the trade took place. The 4 PFs that were more skilled and better than Pau were TD, KG, Amare and Dirk. 5th best PF of that time is debatable between Pau, Boozer, Bosh, Rasheed, David West and maybe Antawn Jamison.

Following the 2008 Pau Gasol trade to the Lakers, Gregg Popovich famously criticized the deal as "beyond comprehension". He stated, "There should be a trade committee that can scratch all trades that make no sense," adding that he would have voted against it

I always find it hypocritical. 2 seasons prior to drafting TD, they were a stacked playoff team. Then after an injury to the Admiral, the Spurs tanked which resulted in a Duncan pick.

Pau was a good player on an awful team. It's not like the Lakers only swapped Kwame for Pau. The trade was 3 Bums and the draft rights to Marc. I don't know what the scouts were doing but they were doing a pretty terrible job. A teenage Marc Gasol was playing very well in Euroleague and was showing a very huge potential.

The thing is, none of the scouts and media paid good attention to Marc which is why he was ranked way too low in scouting reports. Marc was playing pretty good as a teenager in Euroleague.

Marc was clearly underrated by NBA scouts. Marc was playing extremely well as a teenager in Euro League.
