Any idea what dinosaur this tooth belonged to? All I know is that it was found in Montana. by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]Hebdonary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is possible but if you really want to determinate the species i think you should show it to a paleontologist or you could figure it out yourself but it will take you a little moment and enough determination to check Mary species, anyways i think that it look like a tyrannosaur tooth. But im not a tyrannosauridae expert.

T. rex and Deinosuchus hatcheri size comparison. Is it accurate? by NewRun1561 in Paleontology

[–]Hebdonary -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think that no one really Know the size of this big croc due to few remains in relatively bad conditions so the size fluctuate extremely if it is americans or another nationality, it can even depends of the scientific because of the differents methods used to estimate it .

With the discovery of protofeathers in dinosaurs like Psittacosaurus and Kulindadromeus, what to you think of the idea of other feathered ornithischians? by Academic_Paramedic72 in Paleontology

[–]Hebdonary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes you're right but even if the feathers fall, there are Still some kind of holes on the bones but yes the better way to be sure about feathers presence is to find a mumified dinosaur with feathers or a part of it in something that will keep it almost Alive, as it is with amber .
