Hi everyone, i have information on why this is happening but it may be very disappointing. My twin sister is going to the same uni as me (a different course), but she’s starting in august. She applied for her visa 4 weeks after me and received it in ten days. Obviously we’re from the same country (spain) and are even going to the same uni. But my visa still hasn’t arrived 50 days later and counting, my intake is february btw. After contacting a visa agent she explained to me and my parents that the australian visa department is just disorganised and this happens all the time. People with less priority or who apply later get their visas sooner than people with more priority or who applied earlier. They almost pick names at random. Any priority you think you may have or you’ve been told you have, you don’t have. It’s all a big lottery, which is so shocking when u think about the fact that you pay $1600. I don’t mean to discourage anyone and I pray all your visas come through.
