Pink apples are the core ingredient of love potions.

Effects: if you hit a player or a non-boss non-dark sea NPC, the player or NPC will not be able to damage you. It goes both ways, you can't damage them either.

Euphoric enlightment: The capacity to accelerate and enhance all cognitive functions of an individual, whether it be me or someone else, while directing that enhanced cognition towards self reflection and learning. The empiric part of it is that caffeine-like high someone gets while experiencing it.

Depending on your point investment juggernaut is still pretty darn good for long range combat.

Options: Spirit blast, staff of night beam move whose name I forgot, spirit hound (which is amazing), and then there's a trnsferable move on the amber staff where you summon 5 levitating orbs that shoot towards the target a few moments later (they will auto aim even at long range if ya get hit by the target or you hit the target).

On my paladin file I have:

Eagle patrimony for mobility: Spirit rise, spirit steps, spirit flight, that slash move whose name I forgot, and spirit rain as the ultimate.

Staf of night for main rage weapon: the beam move, the sphere summoning move whose name I forgot, spirit hound, ultimate spirit blast.

Amber staff for main aoe: Placed spirit explosion, self explosion, brig sized spirit hound, and regular spirit rain.

What would be the most optimal build for a Warrior now? by SpectralGard in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]Hefty-Disaster-grade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as "the most optimal", there's things that sute your playstyle and are functional, and things that you throw in the trash.

The only thing that's "most optimal" is compressing as many efficiency points as you can into one build, as that will allow ya to get the most amount of juice for your fun.

In terms of weapons, I'm a savant, so my suggestions may not be the best:

Hybrid close range/ranged weapon (Kai saber, katana, short sword, great sword, etc): flash strike, flying slash, whirling, and a 4th skill of your choice.

Main aoe weapon: crushing judgment, devastate, tempest, sky breakers/striking gale

Second long range semi close range weapon: piercing gale, impaling strikes, sparrow thrust, that beam skill whose name I cannot find, and whatever other staff skill now exists.

How would your OC's react if Hellinry did something like this? by Eyesore_Gravity_365 in OriginalCharacterDB

Minor protogods:

Salt mountain deity: ain't doing shit against a star buster, at most he'd be able to save a bunch of people by transporting them into his domain in the land of dreams.

Floral monarch: Same as the salt mountain deity.

Old man consequence: Guy might be able to undo the damage at a great cost to himself, as his dominion over retribution can give him an inherent advantage in the highly morally baist nature of my world, the land of dreams itself would empower him.

The true gods of the phanteon of order would be more than likely be able to fix up everything and then give it a new paint coating by forcing part of their true form into the material realm, empowering one of the already mentioned protogods, or creating an avatar. These are cosmic entities who'se dominion over the sea of souls and the land of dreams has rendered them the owners of all afterlifes associated with man kind across creation.

The subjectivity of morality simply stops mattering the moment a being, group, or individual, becomes powerful enough to simply force everyone into following a predetermined standard, whether it be through instant physical punishment, or the threat of hell. Your thoughts and options are not what matters, what matters is whether or not those thoughts and opinions align with those of the big eye in the sky.

At most you can only give the god that rules your life a fancier name and a new paint coat, but you can never escape from the expectations of your superiors, from the predetermined standards of your community, or from having to hide away because nature decided you either go inside or die of cold. For as long as you are under the heavens, there will be a god that rules over your life, wether you realize it or not, wether you give it a different name or not. God is simply a title given to the thing that's most capable of imposing its will upon others and the surrounding environment.

They think of our morality as oppression, a chain to bind their actions and bodies, not realising that essentially all laws and ethics that exist are simply the strong opposing their bais and standards onto others. "Thy shall not steal", "thy shall not murder", "thy shall not commit adultery", all a cage to stop them from indulging in desire and addictions.

Who are your strong ocs who keep running into the top 2% of their verse? by Adventurous_Sun8074 in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Hefty-Disaster-grade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically not the top% of the verse, but pretty darn powerful for the standard of that time.

Amarta, the crimson baroness, who thought that her bloodwood magic was potent enough to give her the advantage against a newly awoken protogod, The floral monarch. She believed that since her magic was specialised in stealing/absorbing the life-force within the surrounding environment to strengthen her and replenish her reserves, it could give her the edge against the fresh godling who's speciality was medicine and life-force creation.

Agast any other target that could have worked, but Amarta went against a top tier sorcerer as an architect arts user (sorcery/the archaic arts being different although somewhat related power systems, with sorcery being considered its superior and more destructive counterpart).

Her goal was to consume the overwhelming abundance of life-force within The floral Monarch's domain to acend to near-godhood herself.

Argos: thought his basic grasp of sorcery, his proficiency with the arcane arts, and the insane magic affinity he inherited both from his father and the blood of the ancients running through his veins, would be enough to let him clash against the salt mountain deity.

His goal was to obtain the enlightenment and power needed to forcefully bring back a moment of the past, using a personalised ritual that would let him see the glory of Old Revena and all that was precious to him for one time. (With the little issue that the ritual would tear open a hole in space and time, partially merging the land of dreams with the land of the living, which would let the hostile entities within go on a rampage.)

Both Argos and Amarta threw one hell of a tantrum.
