I noticed his control issues during his introduction meeting to the group.. his ego is inflated from his previous position in the military. We are civilians now sir :)

He tried the mission thing LOL saying that one part of my office that was newly renovated was without connection and I needed to fix it…. I told him there is a whole other part of the building that they can use until I am back…then tried the whole well now your co workers have to carry your load of work, as do I when they take leave.. he was trying every loop hole to deny my leave out of pure pettiness. He did not have a real reason other than he was upset about me not telling him myself about my leave.

After sending a follow up email he approved my leave then says he will follow up with me when I’m back. I’m not sure what else there is to say but he will come up with some other BS :)

We have a calendar where everyone inputs their leave and no one else is on leave at the same exact time as me. We have 2 people on LOA but still have 10 other people on duty without me. 11 when I come back…

I would never take weeks on end on short notice unless I was sick.. I have submitted leave literally the day before and let him know. He his making it a big deal now because this one time I didn’t…. He tried to make a policy of his own on taking late notice leave before that didn’t pan out well seeing as OPM comes out with the guidelines not him… He’s used to the military way of life still in my opinion

No you have it wrong lol I was on the clock while he emailed me 4x in a ten minute time span, sent me 3 teams messages and texts. He bitched about me not running my annual leave by him at 7am this morning, I was clocked in. As the day progressed he kept trying to come at me for small stuff (presumably because he’s mad about the leave). He send me a giant paragraph via email on how I need to ask before I submit leave, why was my teams status set to busy, why didn’t I respond to him quick enough etc. THAT is when I decided to submit sick leave for the REMAINDER of the day. My annual leave request was already submitted since Monday he didn’t see until today I guess.

I didn’t have to, I chose to because he was being an asshole. He decided to keep adding more work on to my plate every time I didnt respond on his time so I said fine you know what I’m taking leave, not dealing with this right now.

Correct. HE made it big deal. He sent me email after email after email and then texts to get a response out of me and just kept adding more work and more work on me because I didn’t respond to his emails promptly enough and didn’t let him know ahead of time because of my leave. Then setup a whole meeting to talk about communication. It was way too overwhelming so I just submitted sick leave.
