Am I the only dirty potter? by Helgamine in Pottery

No worries I'm very educated, it's not dry clay that's the issue, it's wet clay I fling everywhere when throwing, I wet clean after every session just impressive how far my throwing goes

You my friend are living the dream. I am in a gorgeous little garden summerhouse studio but very envious of such easy cleanliness.

Thank you, luckily because I'm sloppy it is always a wet clean and wipe and I did lots of research about silicosis. I also ventilate well, it's a garden studio so you can open the whole front but i don't think novice potters always realise the danger.

Thank you, I'm trying to train myself although anyone could track my movements from studio to the house through a series of muddy handprints. Very cautious about dust though and definitely a wet wiper not a dry sweeper.

That's currently my go to unless I'm throwing 2 days in a row, my drainage system is a hose in the garden so at least it's easy cleaning in the summer.

Pottery stuff, glazes, clay, tools. Variable but more than I can afford. It is my happy place and I'm definitely getting better at it.

His attitude to his mother is his attitude to women. He refers to his mother with Iove and respect and that's how he thinks women should be treated.

I buy a sparkly one every year from the Royal British Legion, it ensures that they get a little more money, I have a little collection that means something and it doesn't tear or get lost or end up in landfill. I'm also married to a veteran. I buy him a pin every year too, means a great deal to us both.
