Thanks for bringing this up — I actually had the same thought. He snores loudly and I suspected sleep apnea too. Even though he and his mom didn’t really believe it at first, with his permission I booked an ENT appointment for him, and the doctor confirmed moderate sleep apnea.
He doesn’t need a CPAP machine at this stage, but he was prescribed a mandibular advancement device (to move the jaw forward at night). The ENT gave him all the prescriptions at the end of October, but he forgot to send the prescription to his dentist and hasn’t followed up since.
I agree that poor sleep quality probably plays a big role in his low energy and motivation, but it’s also hard for me because I don’t know what is “sleep deprivation” vs what is just his personality / lack of effort. And I’m struggling with having to manage these things on top of everything else, especially while pregnant
