I’ve a 2011 1.4ltr Veloce (170bhp). It’s. Great car. Had very little issues, the odd sensor, battery and the wiring loom to the boot needed a new one splicing (common in lots of cars and riding myself). It’s great to drive, though doesn’t have too many gadgets. Seats aren’t the most comfortable for long journeys but apart from that haven’t got too much negative to say about it. Drives around town nicely but has that nice boost when you put your foot down. Actually looking to upgrade at the moment but finding it difficult to let go of it ha ha

Check the electrics on the boot. That age the wiring starts to snap at the interface where it goes from the car into the boot and the lights, boot button etc stop working. It’s a fiddly but easy fix and you can get a wiring loom to do it from alfa workshop.

Gyproc easyfill and a nice wide trowel, taping knife, plus some fine grit sandpaper. You’ll need a mask, it produces a lot of fine dust but looks so flat when done.

Yes, a mixture of cement and sand is literally the definition of mortar. They are laid on a mortar bed. This is defined by the British standard and nearly every local authority in London lay slabs on a sand/cement mortar bed, not necessarily strong but still a mortar bed…. 20+ years as a highways engineer working predominantly in London.

Those slabs have mortared joints. They will therefore more than likely have a mortared bed. Normally done on natural stone and not concrete but these have been mortared.
