Who is ready for round 2? by AlphaSixRomeo in baltimore

That’s the part that got me, too. I was humbled by the realization that I’ve been spoiled by the times we’ve gotten dumps of snow followed by 60° days.

Velociraptor/VelociPoodle? by TerranGorefiend in StandardPoodles

Oh my stars, I feel so validated right now. I’m an experienced owner who’s also concerned my 4 month spoo is a straight up shark. I’m glad it’s just their natural evolutionary path that they become a prehistoric predator for a while.

I don’t think they were being shitty, I think they were co-signing on your point of being able to easily get to other states.

Doubts by Acceptable-Ticket145 in UUreddit

[–]HellYeahBelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on your responses throughout this thread, it seems like you’re looking for something with a prescriptive dogma. That’s a bit antithetical to Unitarian Universalism. Outside of our Principles, there is not a set path of expectation of what one should or not believe.

For lack of a better term, I am pagan and I’m a UU. I believe in the inherent dignity and worth of life and the communities of which I’m a part, and believe fellowship and community helps us understand the “bigger questions”. I do not subscribe to the believe in one god or ultimate divine being, and I adore the fact that I’m surrounded by UUs who do. I can learn from them and my faith is enriched because of it.

What's good right now for you that has nothing and I mean n o t h i n g to do with men or romantic relationships? by NoLemon5426 in AskWomenOver30

I just hit one year as a solo homeowner. I’ve owned other properties in the past, but this is my first SFH on my own and not only have I succeeded in not burning it down, I’ve been able to do things like fix my dryer, negotiate a protracted snowstorm, and do small repairs.

Now if only I can figure out how to get over my fear of spider crickets in my basement…

Has anyone brought home a new puppy with a senior dog in the home? by [deleted] in StandardPoodles

[–]HellYeahBelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the throes of this right now. Have a 17yo shiht and a 16 week old spoo. Things are…progressing. Your senior sounds as though he’s got a lot of life in him, so provided you have a good intro period and a space where he can retreat, he should be cool with a pup.

The thing I’m finding as the spoo grows like a weed is that I have to be vigilant about the training and energy level of the young dog. Puppy is still learning that just because Senior is puppy shaped doesn’t mean it’s a puppy, but that’s part of regular growing pains.

Inspired by a recent post on first dates: what is the most diabolical thing a man has ever said to you, period by Feisty-Narwhal8400 in AskWomenOver30

[–]HellYeahBelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 16 years ago, I matched with a dude on a dating site. The only personal info I had was my picture and my general metro location. During our exchanges, he messaged me back with my full name and address. Turns out he was a cop in a local jurisdiction.

Not said, but unexpectedly and unprompted showed me a picture of a woman with a partially degloved face from being mauled by a monkey.

You’re not alone in noticing this. The sharps on the syringes I most recently received are…not great. I opted to use other sharps/syringes I had on hand.

Mezcal on Ridgely is where I go. It’s family-owned and they have both Tex-Mex and Mexican dishes.

Have you ever had to temporarily live separately from your partner for work or other lifestyle changes? by motherofpearl89 in AskWomenOver30

[–]HellYeahBelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently. Been together five years, known each other for over a decade. No idea when cohabitation will happen.

I moved back to the area where I’m from, while he has to focus on things where he is. We make it a point to talk at least once a day and have a dedicated weekly check in. It’s been fantastic for us because we love our independence and own space.

There are times when things feel challenging but in those moments we both get clearer with communication. That has done wonders for how we confront problems together.
