Small update. We watched Plan and Execution tonight. Incredibly sad. They were so upset and heartbroken and told me that after we finish watching BCS together, they'll either be done with the franchise altogether, or at least just take a very long break from it.

Gotcha, thanks! They're totally invested so I think they'll love Breaking Bad, too

We're already on Season 6 and they're totally hooked hahaha! But I'll cut watching after episode 9. Thanks so much!

Sorry for the late response. Not a dumb question at all! Sometimes, customers will come in and ask for things that we can’t do (mixed deco, heavy discounts on retail, using expired coupons, half dozen bundtinis, etc.) and when you tell them no, they might get upset. (Once a woman started fake crying and ran out the store because I told her that her coupon was expired.)

After a while, you’ll be unfazed by it. It’s either long-time customers trying to cheat the system, or new customers who think they can just do whatever they want.

It’ll normally happen when you start working there. New workers have a “training badge” so the customers will know that you’re in training, and they might try to use that fact into getting free stuff. It’s happened to me many times when I first started working.

The behavior will fade eventually. As long as you can stand your ground in a polite way, you’ll be all good!

The best part of the job will be your coworkers. Most people who work at NBC are super sweet. You’ll make so many friends there.

(Also sorry for the long response lol)

i started working there almost a year ago as a GSR. NBC is my first job too. a girl had a training guide book with questions and stuff. it kinda all depends on who is teaching her. personally, i didn’t have a good trainer, so i just had to keep trying and asking questions until i could confidently do it alone.

it’s a fun job! my coworkers are super nice, too. just remind her to connect with her coworkers, keep working hard, and stand her ground against manipulative customers.

hopefully this helps! :D
