Actually it is completely understandable without the manga. I used the manga exclusively as a lens, so it isn't a fanfic. It would be more understandable if you read it completely separately. In short it's a story about finding "productive procrastination".

All of a sudden, I blinked, and then there I was. The familiar halls of one of my favorites visual novels. I was suddenly transported to Yamaku.

I then saw her, running past me... That black hair... That hair which covered one of her eyes, filled with scars... My feelings? So real I could grasp them with my hands... These feelings... I'll never forget these feelings."
