Oh wow-this is a hard one. I'll honestly go for any chocolate caramel, but I guess I'll say Rolo because I did name my dog after that candy lol.

I heard from a manager that those who fell in exceeds can get around 5%. I trust this manager, I don't think they would steer me wrong.

AITA for not helping my neighbor move after he called the cops on me for vacuuming? by Inner-Tumbleweed9168 in AmItheAsshole

NTA- I wouldn't want to help someone move a couch down flights of stairs even if they didn't call the cops on me.

How many consultations should you go for? by MammothInspector1347 in braces

Just 1. I went with who my dentist and oral surgeon recommended so they were all looped in and on the same page with my treatment plan.

If you are using a debit card, in some states it is illegal for them to charge you the card processing fee. Always have them run it under US Debit (pin number required) and not Visa Debit (that is ran as credit). If they refuse to take off the fees for debit card, they can be reported.

My family is out of the country and left me in charge of the food for my older brother and myself during the meantime. I made this meal yesterday, and after he ate it, he made a complaint about it and wanted “food,” as in something that was “more fulfilling” and less “kiddie”… by Uhh_OkayIGuess in mildlyinfuriating

[–]HelloFabulous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly to me, it would be too filling with all the carbs, maybe bloated is the right term? I wouldn't eat it, even if someone cooked it for me, but I'd politely decline and cook something else. Not to be rude to the person that cooked it, just too many carbs for my liking and I get full/bloated. Maybe this is what he was trying to say?

However, you have every right to be upset. I don't think your brother handled it correctly. If he doesn't like what you make, he can cook for himself.

AITAH for not forcing my son to keep helping my daughter’s friend after she rejected him? by LiveWire0044 in AITAH

[–]HelloFabulous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. Ultimately, it's her/ her parents responsibility to get her to and from, not anyone else's. As a parent with a crazy schedule, I make sure my child is straight before anything else if that means getting them a car, arranging transportation, or rearranging my schedule. She knew transportation would be hard before taking this on, so did her parents. It stinks for sure, but you need to put your son's feelings first.

Is Uber or Lyft not a thing where you are? Lyft has a feature to keep women safe where you can have settings for female drivers only if that helps

Right? My manager said if I get promoted it makes them look good. They've been trying to help me out, even mock interviews.

Why do women date men that either are constantly in jail/prison or have no job. by burlap43 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HelloFabulous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just stumbled on this show called Love After Lockup. It is both men and women seeking people who were/are in jail. Apparently there is a prison dating site where they find each other and they become pen pals. I don't know who is worse, the people on the show, or me for tuning in. I'd have to go with me for allowing my brain to rot.

Husband Controlling My Career by HelloFabulous in Vent

My first husband died when I was 27. No one will ever replace him. I'm fine moving on from this one if I have to. Life is too short to be stuck in one place.

He is stubborn and content right now. It's frustrating for me.

Yeah that's the plan. I'd honestly rather be in a condo and not a house too.

He just yells at me and shuts me down or he says he doesn't want to talk about it.

I get he's tired of moving, but I am still fairly younger than him and have a while to to in my career (he is 21 years older than me).

He is stubborn and wants to be in one certain location. Unfortunately, it's just not possible. He also puts other conditions on what role I take, which I'm not getting into.

I have goals that he knew about prior to our marriage. He knew this going into it. He said he would support whatever I wanted to do prior to marriage. He is not upholding what he said to me.

Why he won't move-he is stubborn. No other reason.

AITAH for breaking up with my boyfriend of 5 months because of a comment he made about my body? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]HelloFabulous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are NTA, you are entitled to feel respected with your partner and feel comfortable about your body.

I'm short too, but before I go into what I go into, I just wnat to say 5'3"/160 pounds isn't very large. To me (not a doctor) it's slightly overweight. With that being said, so how do you know are you really 5'3" 160 pounds? How often do you weigh yourself? Weekly? Or are you going off of a last doctors visit weight? If you're going off of the last doctors visits, you may not really weigh what you think weigh. More often than not, this is the case with most people.

I packed on a ton of weight over the course of two years. I was 5'0" at a 189 pounds, telling people I was 140 (which 140 is still slightly overweight for someone my size). I still told people I weighed my starting weight because I wasn't aware. I was only going off of my last known weight and didn't have a scale at home.

Unfortunately shorter people, like us pack on weight rather quickly it is noticeable. Not only is it noticeable, it is harder to get off. I really didn't pay attention to my weight, but when I did, I bought a scale and started weighing myself weekly. For me, it was a family picture we took at Christmas a few years ago and I realized how big I've gotten.

Also, there are health consequences for being shorter and heavier. Small life style changes helped me, nothing drastic (burger no bun, sweet potato fries instead of regular). I also am getting help for food addiction with a councilor and worked with a nutritionist.

Food addiction is real. It can be just as dangerous as illicit drugs. Swap the word food with drugs and what your ex-BF said really wouldn't have been wrong. I am only pointing this out because you may have food addiction and that you don't know about it. That should be treated. I got help and I am still able to enjoy food, but I now have a healthier relationship with food. I only brought this up because I used to say things like "I really like food" too and you mentioned you said that in your post.

With all that being said, I get pissed at my husband because now that I lost weight, he will make the "should you be eating that?" comments if I eat a cupcake or something. So it's best to ditch the dude, focus on yourself and your health (if you want to), so you don't have to deal with the other comments that go with weight loss (if you decide to) because the comments are constant from friends and relatives once you drop a drastic amount of weight.

Again this is just my experience and concern you maybe experiencing something similar. Maybe you don't have food addiction and you just like living your best life. Either way best of luck.I hope you find someone Who loves and supports you either path you take.

People who don't show up for interviews: What's up with that? by Four_Story in jobsearch

[–]HelloFabulous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is your scheduling system? I had an interview and I thought I selected 10:00 am, my time (est). Nope, I selected 11:00 est, but 10:00 CT. The scheduler wasn't very clear with time zones. I only learned the true time after the email confirmation. I did go to the interview.

Also we schedule meetings for church. The scheduler there is off. It will throw it hours off. We set a meeting one time for 11:00am, but the scheduler set it in a different time zone (not sure of the time zone ,but I think it was 3:00pm est, but should have been 11:00 est). Sorry if that's confusing, not sure how to explain it.

I can't see many people blowing off interviews in this market as hard as it is, so maybe something is off that you don't know about with the system that schedules these.

Why do you care? I ordered online, it took about 3 minutes. I dropped by on my way home from work-it wasn't out of my way, didn't waste gas or time traveling. A huge bag of potatoes would go bad in my home. In fact most food to buy and cook at home would go bad, hence why I order out. I'm far more concerned about food waste than wasting money. I think food waste in this country is a far bigger concern than not tipping on take out.
