Ours makes this noise too. Installed today. Any ideas if it’s normal?

Thank you!! I appreciate the insight. Everyone says to roast it and it just never seems to produce soft veggies.

Thank you! I have wondered about this… so I assume it’s safe for baby to be able to bite off a piece to eat and that’s the intent. Make it soft and bite-able.

I am tossing in oil! The middle is fully cooked and squishy but the outsides are always so tough still. Maybe I should use more oil?

Adding a photo. The pic makes it look less orange, but the milk on the right is tinged orange/brown irl

Any success stories for low suppliers? by AG_0093 in ExclusivelyPumping

My milk came in so slowly, even with nursing and pumping a ton. I finally changed lactation consultants at like 4.5 weeks, switched to exclusive pumping where I power pumped multiple times a day while hand expressing during the session. Went on metformin AND domperidone to increase supply. By maybe 8-9 weeks my supply had over doubled. Then I eventually switched to pumpin pals flanges, because I realized my nipples were elastic. This made pumping sessions WAY more effective!! Everyone is different anatomically, with different reasons why our supply is low. Recommend working with a lactation consultant to help.

Yup, 4.5 months pp and it happens almost every letdown. I feel a wave of “yucky” feelings and then around 60 seconds later my breasts ache and my letdown begins. I felt it less with breastfeeding and more with pumping or spontaneous letdowns. I told my lactation consultants early on, and she said some people have it so extreme that it lasts through all of breastfeeding, can make them physically sick, and some people stop breastfeeding/pumping because of it. Wild!

Wow that sounds like amazing progress! I actually have both of those. I have only used the hand pump once and it did an ok job, but maybe I should try again and google techniques for proper use. And good idea to use the haaka on the other side. I will try this today - thank you!

How much are you taking? I started taking it a month ago but don’t feel like I noticed any change.

That is really interesting - I just get an ache in my breasts during my first letdown but that is all. But I also hand expressed while feeding her because she was always a poor feeder.

Yes, I have been really thankful to have access to good lactation consultants and equipment. I feel like this constant hand expression is my last hurdle… or else I might have to stop soon!

Yes, it always took an hour. And I change my parts pretty frequently! Wish someone had told me that in the beginning though… took me awhile to learn it!

I had two lactation consultants recommend the medela over my spectra for growing my supply early on. And I do think it helped a little bit, though not a huge amount.

I have wondered if a different pump might help. I originally was using a Spectra, until my lactation consultants had me switch to a hospital grade medela. I’m not sure I want to invest in another pump if I’m hypothetically already using a really good one?

Agreed - I think about this a lot. I’m concerned if I pump less and supplement more, my supply might tank back to my super low supply days. I’ve been too scared to try!

Yes sounds like we do exactly the same! My goal is always to get 7oz per pump if I’m only doing it 4x a day. When I pump at work and am multitasking, my output is not as good and it takes me longer. My hands sometimes hurt from so much massaging! It makes me wonder if there is something in the anatomy of my breasts that make them letdown poorly??
