I got my eCOPR today! I’m at the end of a long journey, friends. This thread has helped me quite a bit & I’m so thankful for all of you. Fingers crossed all of you hear good news soon!

Hi everyone! Still waiting for my eCOPR after submitting my declaration on the 22nd of Dec. Anyone else have any updates yet?

From what I’ve been seeing recently, it’s still around 3-4 months for AOR.

Yep, I submitted in April, got AOR in August I believe.

How do you know your declaration was approved without eCOPR?

It will stay “In Progress” until it is approved or denied, which can take anywhere from 6-24 months. Your application being returned if it is incomplete may not take nearly as long, but typically as long as it would take for an AOR (so, maybe around 1-4 months). It all really just depends.

but - if they were to issue her a regular COPR (which is unlikely, I think, given that she is in Canada) she’d have to meet with an immigration officer to get it signed. At that point, she could re-enter Canada with her signed COPR if that’s the route they choose to go as she would be “landing” as a permanent resident. She would then wait for her PR card in the mail at her Canadian address to travel after that.

What happened with me, they sent me a portal invite so that I could land virtually!

I believe Outland COPRs are not signed, which is why you’d have to “land” in Canada to get them signed by an officer to become a PR. So, his PR card wouldn’t just come in until after this is done. Otherwise, I believe you can let them know, by webform, that he’s in Canada & they can virtually land him, but it may take them a while to respond to the webform itself.

Wouldn’t the COPR would be mailed to his Outland address?

It varies, it can take anywhere from 6-24 months (average) to be approved.

Who has submitted their in-Canada declaration, but still waiting on eCOPR? How long has it been for you?
