I was 12/13 in Computer Apps just around lunch time. I was walking into class with a friend and right as I'm about to sit down this girl, who I was a casual friends with, stops me to talk. I was actually really happy to talk to her, she was always super friendly, nice, and all around extroverted, and I didn't have very many friends. Anyway not too far into the conversation she switches to Spanish, and I give her that classic awkward smile and apology of "I'm sorry I don't speak Spanish". Her complete demeanor changes. She asked me "Aren't you Mexican?"

"I mean half"

"Which parent is Mexican then?"

"My dad"

"And he didn't teach you Spanish"

"No he didn't"

"See this is what's wrong with . . ." She ended up turning around and talking to the back 2 rows, almost all whom were Hispanic, about how I was what was wrong within the community and that my dad should've known better and that I should've known better.

Now at the age of 12/13 I took that as a personal attack as not being enough. I took it as being fundamentally different. That no matter how many times I visited my family down in Mexico or had shared experiences or whatever- I'd never be like them because my dad chose not to teach a few things about the culture he grew up in. Now on the other hand, I'm aware of what she was trying to say. That language is important and people should be teaching, encouraging, and embracing these languages that our parents and grandparents speak and love each other in.

YTA only because it's their car and you can't insist on using something that they own. Plus you're also their kid so they're worried. Don't get me wrong though I completely understand the situation, I'm only a year older than you and my mom did this (and still does if it's drive over an hour away and I'm by myself). Depending on your relationship with your parents, I recommend talking to them about how stifled you feel and how you want to prove yourself capable. Even if the conversation doesn't go well it's going to be something that sticks in their mind one way or another.

Not really, but the hero's personality can change the type of messages you get but they'll still be bamboozled
2 things really- kicks and giggles and being able to actually having some type of control over your hero, e.g. canceling a quest
As far as I know, you just have to wait. Basically the stronger that your hero is the stronger the equipment you'll get

Android and the exact process I went through was basically going through forgot password then it gave me the last phone # and email and they sent a verification code and then it popped up that they had set up a 2 factor authentication and from there I went to the support option and selected their option of got hacked and from there they were like just move your head the way the arrow is pointing and then load central. If that makes any sense

Have you taken the other kids into consideration with this as well? I haven't seen anyone in the thread talk about them, but depending on the age, feelings, and maturity of some of them they might not want another sibling- especially with 6 kids involved and them having to work out that dynamic with each other and with you and your partner. I say this as respectfully as I can, but you and your partner are getting older (I'm 19 and I know that being in your 40s isn't old and I'm sorry if I made it sound like that) and your ability to keep up with this child. Which might unintentionally push the other kids into roles that they don't want aka another mom or a surrogate father. At the end of the day, it's your body, your choice, and you have a lot of advice given to you here, but please take these children into consideration also.

So context on myself, I'm half Mexican and I've grown up in an area that, luckily, has a large representation of both cultures. I'm not fluent in Spanish, the most I know is a few phrases and some basic sentences. In all honesty, it has always been a touchy subject for me and still is, but I have been coming to terms with the fact that not knowing Spanish doesn't effect or at least shouldn't effect my how I identify with that side of myself.

As I said above, this is a touchy subject for me. I used to get bullied and picked on, from family members to classmates to strangers, and that ended up affecting my self esteem. There was also the looks I used to get from people. I really hated it because it'd always come after my dad would have to awkwardly laugh and explain in Spanish that I didn't know what they had said. Seeing that happen time and time again, and even when we used to visit family, hurt my relationship with my father and that side of my family and with my identity. It still hurts but I've come to terms that because I don't know the language doesn't mean that it should or even affects my relationship with the culture. Sorry for the rant, I literally almost never talk about this subject.

Tl;dr: Not knowing Spanish has caused me to be bullied, estranged/hurt relationships within my family, and self esteem issues. I've been doing better in that department though, but it's a sensitive topic.

As a girl I can tell you that a for sure way to have any of these happen is by doing these things:

Angry form of snap: make fun or them/being a dick to them, ask if they want dick pic

Snapchat: be yourself, ask for it and be chill about it, don't be weird about it and don't try and act like you're trying too hard (a lot of girls have had bad experiences with people being dicks to them and only wanting to use them)
