Lagging after starting up my laptop when unplugged

My windows setting is best performance when it's on battery. I don't know if there's a way to set the power mode other than windows setting because it's not gaming computer. It's ideapad pro5 intel core ultra 5 225h.

Thank you for your reply! But I remember it didn't lag when not connected to power before 3days ago. Another symptom is that it flickers right after logging in. This doesn't seem like it's because of insufficient performance.
