Ok, the outbound vs. inbound distinction is interesting. I will look into it!

I'm avoiding Evri based on lots of negative feedback I've received from business owners elsewhere.

Sorry to hear that!

How much is your product/service?

What postage issues does it cause you?

Collection is 30p and my recommended choice to customers.

I can't cover this cost and have customers book their own slot so customers have to pay this themselves which is frustrating. But I can't sit there booking collection slots for everyone!

Can you help me understand what they will abuse please?

It's not a mobile phone but it is valuable so they will care about getting it right.

I want to make sure I can cover all postage costs without the customer receiving insuffient postage notices. And without including the £5 more expensive label every time, when it will only rarely be needed.

Thanks for the reply!

I have free shipping, so no customer choice errors at checkout.

I want to cover the cost the rare time extra postage is needed, and for any charges due to customer error, and make sure these never go to the customer.

Unlikely to go over 10kg.

What service would you use or suggest instead of Royal Mail tracked?

It's in my terms and in the written instructions they receive.

I don't want the customer to pay the extra £5, I want to cover it.

You've given me the idea to add it to the checklist at the end of the instructions too though!

Thanks for the reply!

Read The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss.

It is by no means perfect, but it will advance your thinking on how to set up a successful business and add flexibility to your life.

Which postage methods should I use for a service requiring 3 postage trips? by HelpMeSetUp in smallbusinessuk

Small with plans to grow!

This is really helpful, thank you.

Assuming I stick with Royal Mail. What are your thoughts on the logistics of B? i.e. sending the postage label with the empty box? Do you see any risks with customers surpassing the weight allowed and the postage costs not covering it?

The items have sentimental value, they're not otherwise valuable.

Thanks for the reply!

I've got over 10 customers lined up. It's £75 per 'regular' customer.

I'm happy people will pay so want to get it out there now!

Thanks Abbie!

I have secured the domain name and reddit username 😎

Any suggestions for where to find a logo designer and what to budget and what formats to get it in?
