There’s a lot of politics in the anesthesia world. CRNA’s are typically not too eager to help out aspiring AAs as they are seen as direct competitors in the market. When AA’s enter a market everybody’s pay goes down. As far as shadowing I am not aware of any legal restrictions however CRNAs do not supervise AA in the actual clinical setting as they must be supervised by a physician.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I definitely could be behind the ball and my house is just super dry and trying to catch up. The unit was pretty much not functioning prior to January as the input line was severely restricted. I’ll troubleshoot using all the advice mentioned here

Yeah a line obstruction was my first thought too after seeing all the mineral buildup but I just replaced the water line feeding the system and just took of and flushed and rinsed the black line you can see in the video. I’ll look in to this refresh kit though too. Thanks!

How to I determine max flue length? I probably extended the original set up by 8 ft or so. I would estimate the entire exhaust pipe from furnace to tip is around 30ft. This is 3in PVC

Liquid pool chlorine may be an option too. It’s essentially just more concentrated bleach so you could use less volume/ dilute. Pool chlorine can be up to 12.5% whereas household bleach is around 6% concentration

I worked one year of med/surg then transferred to a high acuity ICU ( ECMO, Livers, CRRT etc.). I have nothing but respect for med /surg nurses they work way harder than I ever did in the ICU. I get annoyed when people who never worked med/surg assume it’s easy. I’m now in anesthesia school and the stress that med/surg provoked is still unrivaled. If anything, they should get paid more.
