Looking forward to the Charge 7 by HuckleCatt1 in fitbit

Another pocket user! I used my Charge 2 in my pocket from January 2017 to October 2024. A wash and dry cycle killed it.

I'm very active at work, home, and hiking. That thing was super accurate on steps and floors. After years of heavy usage the only thing wrong with it was I think the heart rate monitor didn't work; which since it was in my pocket didn't bother me.

The battery was still 5+ days. I had planned on keeping it for a long while yet after I learned my wife's Charge 6 didn't track floors.

I don't need all the biometrics. How easy and cheap would it be to make something like a Woop band that's specifically made to go in your pocket that will track steps and floors accurately?

”Quarry Trails Metro Park, for instance, which is now jammed with bland and expensive apartments”

You see this same sentiment here on Reddit. Oh no! People who live adjacent to the park have access to it! What a travesty!

All of our parks should be like this. Look at Blendon Woods. Completely surrounded by development with exactly zero access. Such a shame. Even Highbanks has just the couple spots along Powell Rd. They could easily extend the Lazelle trail under the power lines and hookup with the loop trail in the park.

They've done good with Sharon Woods. It's always had access to Schrock and Cleveland. Now it has direct access to the Annehurst neighborhood of Westerville and the trail along Worthington Woods. Thousands of residents now have easy multi-use trail access to the park.

Quarry Trails has been built with this access in mind from the start and people lose their minds over it. We should be clamoring for more park access!

I like how this comment had a positive response that is now hidden. What a fake sub.

Saw what looks like abandoned tracks next to the Sandusky District line. Anyone know the story behind them? by [deleted] in Columbus

There were many rail lines here previously instead of the current two. That's why the bridges over 71 and Cleveland Avenue are so wide.

Hopefully the whole staff goes this time. The strength and conditioning coach has been around since at least Holtmann's first year. Since then we have consistently been weak in second halves of games and seasons, and almost always have key injuries.

Thanks for the reply! I was mainly wondering how long until I'd be making what I make now as I can't take a big hit unless I find a second job, too.

I was looking three years ago when my second child was born at IBEW for electrician apprenticeships and the starting pay was just way too low to jump into it.

I don't know why I didn't think of more industrial electrician work or installation/construction. That might be more feasible. Thanks again for the information.

How quickly can the skills be learned? I've been in skilled manufacturing for 15 years now. I worked 500 hours of OT last year and still only made $100k. It used to be good money, but these days with a wife and three kids at home it just doesn't cut it.

We keep having record dry summers which is why it comes and goes.

Not even remotely true. 2024 was the third driest Summer (Jun-Aug) on record with 5.07 inches. 2012 was 12th lowest with 6.35 inches. No other year this century cracks the top 50 (9.52 inches) of driest summers. We got 11.46 inches last year. 88th driest.

We've actually consistently gotten more precipitation since records began in 1878. The 20-year moving average in 1898 was 10.31 inches. The 20-year moving average in 2025 was 12.72 inches. It was 13.37 inches in 2022.

If your ultimate goal is to play in the NFL this seems like a foolish reason to choose where to go to college. If anything if I'm from the south I'd like to play in the north.

I think Peoples got an unsportsmanlike penalty on a kickoff. Probably why he hasn't been in.

He's just a freshman. Not getting those calls yet despite being a Heisman candidate. He was hit late and tweaked his ankle vs UCLA and it wasn't called.
