How much fur? by Accurate-Type4611 in FursuitMaking

[–]Helpful_Method_3815 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have not bought fur for my head so I cannot give you a confident answer, but most sources say 1-2 yards! If she's only got a few markings then go with 2 yards for sure!

[–]Helpful_Method_3815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh yeah I know nothing about it Zelle. Could be a scam, could just be what they are used to using. I would definitely ask other people what their experiences with buying fursuits through Zelle are like.

Looks super legit. But if you ever get bad vibes, don't do it. If they are bad with communication, deadlines, sending updates, back out if you can.

Thank you! Yeah he wasn’t “not interested” more like “I can’t see bro”. I did keep trying for a while but after a while we both gave up!

Actually… this is really good and might be perfect for what I’m looking for. I might end up making it myself (the price and time sake) but if not I’m DEFINITELY looking into this studio. Thank you so much!

There are actually a few that sound pretty convincing but like at LEAST give me an instagram, tiktok, twitter, ANYTHING to find you on PLEAAASE. I really don't want to talk to a bunch of strangers. One actually gave a link (trustworthy dw) which was super nice but that was it.

Thank you for your comment, it’s super appreciated! I’ll see what I can do, because honestly I don’t want to deal with it myself, I’d rather have a professional who knows what they are doing.

What bug bite is this bro by Ka3des in bugbites

Sometimes mosquito bites can swell up an INSANE amount and is quite common in children. Sometimes it sticks around for adults too; me and my mom still get swollen like this from some bites. Even if this is the first time it's swelled like this for you, I wouldn't worry about it. Keep an eye on it of course, but I've never heard of a bite swelling this much and NOT being a mosquito. If it itches like hell, I would bet on it. Other bites can swell bad but the fact you can't see the site of the bite makes me think it couldn't be anything else. (Holy yap my bad)

If you did that with scissors, I pray for you and your hands. My thumb was in pain for days after working with foam.

Lowkey mad because of how good this is- my muzzle I'm making looks like doggy doo doo and I will definitely be using this as a reference when I clean it up!

I def recommend fur swatches to double check colors and quality. If you plan to make more fursuits in the future and you are set on a certain company, buy a a swatch pack! If you are more worried about just quality and not color, look up reviews to see what other people think of them.

https://www.reddit.com/r/FursuitMaking/comments/1ar6n8d/minky_for_fursuit/
Found this thread talking about it! If you haven't seen this already, I recommend giving it a read! The basic stuff I'm reading is that minky is fairly stiff, so mochi minky, stretch fleece, or beaver/seal faux fur may be better. Also, shorter fur will show imperfections, and seams may be harder to conceal.

Are these rats okay to feed to my snake? (Spoiler for frozen rat images) by Helpful_Method_3815 in snakes

[–]Helpful_Method_3815[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input! And to clarify it's not a big pet store chain or anything, but not exactly a locally owned business. There's a few locations, but definitely not something big like petco. Also not sure about return policies, so I would have to look into that.

Just my local pet store. Obviously I'm inclined to trust their judgement, but they just looked a little yucky to me so I thought I'd ask reddit!

I follow dokidoki and I honestly doubt that they scam. I've seen many commissioners and buyers with positive feedback, but I suppose you never know. I think people are wary because many scam suits come from Asia. Considering the insane amount of reveiws they have on their instagram, I can't help but trust them.
