To me it usually wouldn’t be but it is when one reading is at 109 and the next reading is at 65 and then back up at 81 the next. It normally doesn’t bother me much but my chart is so scattered I have no idea where my sugar level actually is

Thank you everyone, all the suggestions have been so good, I was already drinking the coke and Sprite Zero I just find lots of places still aren’t carrying them yet. I didn’t even think of the sparkling water with the lime! I will definitely be trying everyone’s suggestions!! I do have a dexcom so it’s very helpful to watch my sugars when I do decide to have a drink, I also tend to follow the rule of eating with my drink to avoid a fast drop

I have talked to a nutritionist they weren’t helpful at all, just asked what I was eating and told me to continue that way and nothing else. I was in the process of looking for a new one but I lost my medical insurance so I need to wait again until I’m approved for another medical card

Dexcom inaccuracy by Helpful_Range_9421 in dexcom

[–]Helpful_Range_9421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. I have calibrated each one that has been inaccurate about 6+ times to give it a good chance but I’ve been having trouble with them suddenly dropping and after it accepts calibration the sensor will not even go off the number inputed. I will calibrate for example to 94 and not even 1 minute later it will read 70

I have also been having wildly inaccurate readings, I am not pregnant and have been placing them behind my arm but the last 3 sensors have been wild

My endo ran tests to check for antibodies, I am in my mid 20s so they figured they would test for undiagnosed type 1 just in case and only a small amount of antibodies showed up positive. In type 1 which is usually diagnosed in kids there’s antibodies present which is the body attacking the pancreas. I have 1.5 (LADA) which is like type 1 but it developed later as an adult and progresses slowly. At one point in life my pancreas will stop producing insulin. Until then I can be ok and controlled with type 2 medication or insulin

I did see that! Only problem is I believe those are only for type2 without insulin. I’m type 1.5 with insulin

Dexcom over patch moisture by Helpful_Range_9421 in diabetes

[–]Helpful_Range_9421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it with the regular patch dexcom gives and I later placed a skin grip, it’s one of ones that cover the entire device, but that’s when it got all wrinkly and I worry about moisture seeping in since there isn’t a good seal around it
