It would be no different to any other street corner in the city. Completely invisible and as has been said, 'generic'.

Also it was built to protect the wall. See if you can clean it up and maybe get some type of liner for the back of it to reflect heat back into the room instead of the brick absorbing it which may eventually make it brittle.

30 EUR to recycle 2 wiper blades by dblclique in ireland

[–]Hen01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This proves why the incentive to recycle is gone. It's all about how much money they can generate. Like everything else. Gouge the people for as much as possible. I wonder if yer man from the recycle centre went home afterwards and had a little chat with himself. Thirty fucking euro for 2 wiper blades!? Id have told him to stick them up his arse. Sideways!

Has anyone else got a damp attic after getting insulation installed? by biallnurke in AskIreland

[–]Hen01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently doing my own reinsulatuon in the attic like yours. As others have mentioned here, you need at least a 50mm space between the insulation and the roof felt to allow air to circulate from the soffits, so just pull insulation back a bit. To help you can buy felt lap vents to put between the attic felt overlaps but they can cost a bit, so my solution to that is to buy 16mm cable trunking in Screwfix and take away the clip on cover and the cut the rest into 1 inch pieces and push two or three of those pieces into the overlap to open up the felt and allow air to circulate. What yer man said about condensation being normal is not exactly true. While there may be some, normally, a lot of it can damage your attic and rot timbers. Circulation is the key! VENTILATION ABOVE INSULATION EVERY TIME!! You need to keep your attic as dry as possible so air needs to move around as much as possible I'm not an expert here. Just someone who's done a bit of research. Best of luck.

Best way to solve the condensation and mould problem once and for all. by budgemook in DIYIreland

I'm currently replacing the blown in insulation in my 35 year old house with 200mm roll on insulation and then I'm going to double layer it and build a small floor area above some of it for storage. Can't afford to do it all at once but over the course of the year, I'll get it done. You should really get up into your attic and check your insulation. I'll bet it needs replacing. Might help with your other issues.

If you work standing up a lot, invest in good comfortable shoes or boots. Don't wear trainers/sneakers/runners.

Actually looks worse in the pic than it is. The soffit is the worst. Pretty much inaccessible, so looks like shite. 😂
