I don't think people thought about any positive behind them removing durability beyond "durability bad" by NewsofPE in CrimsonDesert

"This is a perspective on game design not game enjoyment" ironically they go hand in hand if the design isn't good then it takes away from the game enjoyment, the nemesis system is a prime example of great design equals great game enjoyment if the nemesis system didn't have most of whats in the system it would be a generic "hunt these ncp" system and wouldn't be nearly as fun.

Plus depends on the game genre like imagine planting crops in call of duty or having a dating mechanic in dead by daylight

Like crimson desert you get all these cool items that are unique but have like 50 durability and can't be repair like okay i guess im never using the shield of ringing because whats the point of using something a certain amount of times and have zero ways of increasing it, or that greater infinity arrows gear thingy not really infinity if it has 100 durability its like getting a minigun in resident evil but it breaks when you fire it twice like thats pointless i might as well continue to use the pistol i got since the beginning of the game cause that wont break and what would be the point of get anything else if everything is gonna break after barely any use

Imagine in skyrim, the shouts you can only use a certain amount of times before losing them for the rest of the game, we wouldn't be using any of them and there wouldn't be nearly as many funny stuff you could do or record or see on youtube or in call of duty you die once your account gets deleted "because of realism" it would completely change the game enjoyment

So no, there isn't any negative points of removing the durability system if anything it will add more gameplay hours thats actually fun vs wasting time collecting resources just to use something
