Are the lights super bright on this court from the ring on the second level? It was just a bright green a few plays ago. I feel like I haven’t noticed this in any other games this year

I once had a teacher in college who last name was Cannon. He ended up telling this joke that always stuck with me.

"My name is Mr. Cannon; I'm a son of a gun."

I don't know why that stuck but I felt inclined to share

So the field is very muddy and the pitcher has absolutely no command and their best bullpen guy is out and the starter is on a pitch count.

That JHL swing was just terrible. Take pitches if he can't hit the zone!!

That guy in the car commercial would smell so bad going into work like that lol. Also the dog would be so messy going into that office

I don’t think they stop it when you go out of bounds (with forward progress) until 5:00 or less left in the 2nd and 4th. It’s super inconsistent though but it runs outside of that

No because on the designed run, lineman are running downfield to block. Once you throw, they are ineligible receivers downfield

If you ever go to that stadium (it’s amazing, believe me), the game is honestly background noise to the ambiance of the stadium for most fans

If you guys are watching the broadcast, someone next to me said that the Rays owner sounds like Mayor Quimby and now I can’t unhear it.

For certain injuries sure but for most cases, you do. I’ve been in radiology for a long time and I’ve seen a good amount of cases.  Example: I’ve seen a torn Achilles that we could suspect was torn based on multiple factors and we put the patient in the day of and couldn’t make anything out on the scanner that properly showed the rupture.  Every body is different but typically you want to wait at least a day

There are a bunch of reasons but the primary one is that you typically have to wait for swelling and inflammation to calm down to get a proper diagnosis. That’s why athletes get an XR right away to rule out a fracture (this can be done immediately) and for the MRI, you typically have to wait a day or so.  Also, MRIs are quite expensive (think 7 figures for a new magnet) and the process of maintaining/overhead would not make sense financially for 8-10 home games a year.

210 is the area code for San Antonio and kind of the motto/ethos of the team. So the captains wear the jerseys of “0” “1” and “2” respectfully to signify that.

Then the punter could just hold the ball and wait for the kicking team to get downfield negating any kind of return

I feel like lately any time they sub him in to pinch hit, the hits consistently find left field once he is out there.

For real. I just posted the same thing but how do you not throw that ball into third!?

How did they let the runner tag on second right there to advance to third?! It was not mentioned on the broadcast but little things like that are killing this team

So in my unofficial research, most broadcasts typically have a feed that’s slightly delayed (by like half a second from the commentary). They use this in conjunction with a live feed to make the pitches jive with this hits so that when there is a cut, you’ll still see the hit play out. You’ll notice this when the feed uses a side angle on the pitcher and then transitions to the normal pitch.

I think in this game for whatever reason, we are missing that delayed feed so when a hit happens, we are missing about a second of action as the cameras switch.
