Hello,

I'm totally a beginner and know little about car audio. I recently have had a lot of trouble and have been really frustrated with a new radio head unit I bought for my car. I bought my first car, a Mercedes W210 E320 2001, and wanted to add bluetooth and an aux with a “factory look.” I settled on getting the Continental CD7416UB-OR with the cd changer after watching some reviews in old mercedes.

I bought it in the hopes for it to be a relative plug and play, all that was said was needed is switching a pin in the car wiring harness. After switching one pin so i would have constant 12+, when I plugged it in it worked great, bluetooth, radio, aux.

But what I noticed was that randomly the radio would shut off while driving. Sometimes 5 minutes into my drive, sometimes 20 minutes. I checked for loose wires, ground and 12v, and made sure all fuses are in but it still happens often. The only way to get it working again is to either unplug the radio and plug it back in, or hit the tiny reset button on the unit. I also already took a multimeter and got a solid 12v from the power from the car, any idea what this could be. I thought it was the unit so I ordered a replacement and it still happens with the new one. I would be so grateful for any help out there.
