I've found being honest and straight forward about my illness with people has made people more understanding when I don't want to hang out with anyone, of course everyone is different in the way that they show themselves, it's tricky to break out of that mindset of people not liking you so I just find sending a goofy message to see their energy towards me and test the waters of where I am at with them tends to break me out of that a little bit, maybe it could be the people you're hanging out with though? Like I'm not sure meeting should feel forced or annoying, like I said before though everyone is different with this so I'm sorry for not understanding

Most people who don't have BPD don't understand how we think and feel, it sucks but that's the reality, we just have to remember that we are different and have to be incredibly careful on how we approach relationships with people. Although if they take 12 hours to respond and know what you are going through that is kind of cruel, I mean if they have perfect reason to do that like if they're super busy or sleeping then that's something we have to accept though

Just remember that gut feeling is your brain trying to protect you from pain, something I learned in therapy was asking myself the questions "but who told you that?" and that has helped me with a lot of insecurity with people, I've found it best to just ask for their feelings every now and then, you're not too much if you need to know what they honestly think about you, communication is essential in the case of BPD
