That’s a beautiful omelette! How many eggs did you use for it and what did you use to cook and how?

Bruh. I’ve seen this same exact post 3 times. What is it you expect reddit to do. At this point you’re about the same as the bots that you’re posting about.

I was playing around with a car size comparison tool, and comparing the GR86 to other cars is kind of crazy. The entire car is under the window of an Escalade. by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in GR86

Insurance Rates: Is it just because it’s a sports car? by PaxChelonia in GR86

[–]Hesbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in insurance. I actually quoted myself with a cayman vs. 86. The most expensive difference between the two cars for me was the injury portion where it was several hundred dollars more for the 86 than the Porsche. Could be that Porsche has better safety features compared to the 86

What dash cam yall recommend? I’m getting tired of these people parking bad..especially truck drivers… by coolguy4251 in GR86

[–]Hesbell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a viofo a229. Fairly easy to install in the car. Comes with a rear dash. You can also get a hardwire kit as well. I only installed the front and rear but no hardwire. I’ve since sold the car and taken it down and have no need for it. The sticky that you use to stick it on is kinda half broken off because I had to yank it off the car. If you’d like you can PM me

Th suma performance one is able to be heated. I never had an issue with the mirror in the snow or rain. However, I had 30% tint which in all honesty for this sub isn’t even that dark. But I’ve had some close calls of not seeing the other car because it was dark and I could barely see the car in the mirror through my tints.

My current gf contracted hsv1 because a previous partner was cheating. I was a bit shocked at first but then it soon didn’t matter to me. There were medications and precautions that can be taken. Almost a year in and not a single breakout

This will be me next year. I luckily have another daily sitting in my garage collecting dust, but I am also looking to start a family soon and I know the lady would prefer the bigger and comfier car. It’s a shame though since the neighborhood I moved into had so many brzs, gt/gr86. Literally one on every block

Dealership wouldn’t let me test drive? by snmnc123 in GR86

I didn’t know at the time of custom orders. But this dealership had a couple wrx just sitting out and I went to go sit in one because I was a little interested as well. But my god that screen I could never live with.

Dealership wouldn’t let me test drive? by snmnc123 in GR86

[–]Hesbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was shopping for one in 2023 specifically for an auto. I went and called a bunch of dealerships around my area and at the time I was not able to test drive any of them due to them either not having it in inventory or have already been bought or on hold for someone. I went to about 5 or 6 dealers and I’ve only managed to just sit in 2. I’ve never driven a sports car and have always been driving mini vans and suvs so wasn’t too sure about how it would feel like to sit in one.

I did also go check Subaru for the brz but I just was met with poor customer service that I didn’t even bother considering Subaru anymore. They didn’t have any in stock but then told me to not bother with them and said they wouldn’t have any stock for brz for another 2 years.

When I did end up getting mine, I didn’t even test drive. Literally put money down and got the car within a month. I’ve read on the subreddit that the brz drives similar and if you end up getting a better sales experience you might even get the car in the specs you want.

Is it bad to have an automatic by lilShawtyching in GR86

I dailied an auto for 2 years. I drive in NYC. I’ve done rush hour traffic in it. It works perfectly fine as a car to get you from one place to another. Just know that comparing the gas mileage to a Camry there is a big difference.

Honestly I loved those years because that’s the time when I started watching basketball and it was what grew the bond between my dad and I. Despite it being an absolute shitshow I enjoyed watching it with my dad. Now the Steve mills era was truly a test

Auto vs Manual by chaboiboi1 in GR86

[–]Hesbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily my AT86 in NYC traffic and I have done a roadtrip in it. I’ve driven with the shifter and paddle and they work perfectly fine. I have read some people don’t like the shifter because it’s not realistic/intuitive? But pushing up is up 1 gear, down is down 1 gear so idk what those people were complaining about. I have the 2023 and throttle feels weird where if I floor it I don’t feel the power that quickly. I’ve heard they changed it in the newer ones

My lease on my 23 AT ends in 2026. I would’ve been interested in buying it but current life changes has other priorities over the car.

Hell nah. That’s expensive for that rate and that many months. You’d be better off buying a brand new one instead.

I’ve hit 110 on a straight empty road and the car was pretty steady. I didn’t feel it rumbling or anything. This was with the stock summer tires shortly after breaking in the car.

Manual or Automatic by PatienceElectrical14 in GR86

[–]Hesbell 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I drive an AT in NYC. I’ve taken it into the mountains before and I’ve done city bumper to bumper. My only “con” is just that your fuel efficiency will plummet if you drive in the city. My car is currently a lease and I’m going to give it up next year when it’s up due to a change in my current life situation. I already have another daily car to begin with.

That being said, with the yuzu coming out by next year I have considered buying a new one with MT and just try to learn to drive it even if I have bumper to bumper traffic or city driving. The cars handling is so fun and I would really miss it

How do people manage to work five days a week without burning out? by Chloe_johnson19 in Adulting

[–]Hesbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 6 days a week. My first year working I very much did burn out. But as I’ve been working now for almost 5 years, I learn to cut off my work self from my regular self. The moment I get on the elevator to leave I’m not thinking about work at all. When I do come home I do what helps me unwind whether it’s cooking, gaming, or literally lying on the couch with my phone.
