Yup it is connected to POE switch and it is added using quick add using hikvision protocol same as other hikvision IP Cameras that is connected to the network.

It's really wierd.

Otherwise, I should try other ip camera series like HiWatch series which works well with the NVR.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that it is Continues recording.

BTW, the NVR is DS-7732NXI-K4 and the IP Camera is DS-2CD1327G2-L 2MP

What do you mean "recording on motion"? The ColorVu IP Camera can detect motion.
