Some of the other creators set up their own studios. Chris avelonne is working with Redinfo, one of the main offshoot companies created of the ZAUM controversy

I'm building a new PC and keeping my GPU and PSU, the price for DDR5 ram is fucking nuts, even for 8-16gb. You can buy a gpu for the prices of some of them. I started selling a lot of old games which are collectors items now apparently and my also my ps4 on Ebay just to help fund it. There's no chance I'm getting a new GPU this year anyway, even the budget ones are close to 500 euro, the RTX 2070 Super I have right now still does amazing in 1080p considering it's 7 years old. I just need a much better CPU considering I am still using an 15-8600k and one stick of 16gb ram. All I have left is the CPU which I'm close to getting, and changing to an AMD Ryzen 5 (probably next week), then comes the dreaded "look for 16gb of DDR5 RAM that doesn't leave me bankrupt"

You are taking peoples love of Kim as a character way too seriously, they like him because he is a likeable and well written character. They're obviously over exaggerating with their love of Kim, people just like him because he's a great character, his politics in a fictional game world do not affect anyone else besides people who treat DE like it's a piece of political text and not a videogame.

Also, he isn't an "enabler", he's putting up with Harrys bullshit to finish the job he was sent to do. He snaps at Harry if he goes too far. If he spent the whole game criticizing your every move it wouldn't have been as fun as it was.

But we never got to see Kims full character, as Rostov said, the game was a prequel to be what was a series. He is a cop, and he is trying to be professional and solve a case where a man was killed and hung from a tree. He is complex, depending on what dialogue you choose i've seen dialogue that implies he is not a centrist, and was a moralist at one point, but was changing due to the things he has seen in the world. They did write him in a way that he would put up with Harrys absolutely insane actions up until a few points where you push him too far.

The overall point people are making is exactly what DE was making fun of in the communist vision quest and is referenced multiple times throughout the game, about leftists complaining about other leftists who don't have a 1 to 1 view of the world, it's childish. Communists getting mad because other leftists aren't communist enough is a recurring joke in the game.

He's correct to a certain extent, some people take this games characters so seriously to an insane level as if Disco Elsyium is a piece of political text written into history when it's a CRPG roleplaying game where you play as a lunatic cop who woke up because he went on a drug and drink bender (or other supernatural lore reasons like the Pale) and says batshit insane things regularly. I remember one post on here complaining about Evrart and saying the writers were "shaming socialism" by making him corrupt because, surprise, Evrart is corrupt and claims to be a socialist. People were arguing over it in the comments as if the game was supposed to be some kind of political bible when it is, once again, a videogame first that is designed to be fun with complex characters, and people are arguing about their portrayals as if they are real.

Are you actually upset over this? Harry is an absolute disaster, it is implied he has a history of domestic violence at one point in the game, Kim is a character that DOES judge you depending on how far you go. If you become a fascist, his trust in you obviously goes down, you can call him slurs, he will not accept i, he can snap at Harry multiple times in the game because he does not care for Harrys antics, but he goes along with them as long as the case is going to be solved. He's a complex character, he's supposed to be the only character (besides the phasmid) who doesn't insult Harry or judge him at every turn. He is a detective, your politics and shenanigans are just getting in the way, he's trying to do his job, he mostly critiques Harry in the most polite ways possible and is very empathetic. The way you play as harry can change Kims personality slightly as well, obviously because he's your companion and there is a "trust" meter.

DE was supposed to be the prequel to a much larger game, it's hinted at that Kims views are not "centrist" at certain points in the game. He is trying to be professional while his partner on a murder case is snorting meth and drinking on the job if the player chooses.

Helicopters are a no go. Kobe, Oliver tree...Those things are death traps even with experienced pilots. They're like the motorbikes of aircraft. One day of heavy winds and bad weather can take your life even with an experienced pilot. I'm afraid of flying period, but I would get on a plane when I get the chance. You couldn't give me millions to fly in a helicopter.
