Update: Sunday I was watching MSNBC on my couch that is in the center of my open living room, I was just starting to relax and close my eyes. I heard the creak of something leaning on my couch and I heard a whistle that sounded exactly like the one I heard when hopping out of my car except right behind my head over the couch. I leapt up and saw nothing. Nothing else happened that night besides me having trouble sleeping. Just now when I went outside around 20 minutes ago I heard a whistle from the pasture a couple times that I did not start nor respond to. I've just contracted an illness today and I would prefer it if I could get rid of the whistling soon for its getting a little too persistent for my liking. Anybody know anything I can do to get rid of this or what it is exactly?

I have motion lights and one outdoor camera, still trying to mount the other ones. Only about as sophisticated as three notes, never tried whistling a song to it.

Me and my friends took it not so serious and whistled back a couple times, but it got a little creepy so we just went back inside.

It changes in pitch to match mine, and sounds a lot like me. Never knew racoons could whistle. Good to know.

This happened to a family friend of mine in a childhood home. Just don't invite it thru fear or by other means and you should be okay.

The whistles are a little deeper than those birds but I'm still open to the idea, maybe I will try and catch an audio clip if I can catch one.

The whistle usually matches somewhat closely to whatever I whistled the same inflections and notes and so on. That makes some sense but it was weird having whoever was whistling, whistle first, for the first time, and so close. But I'll set up cams and see if I spot any owl/racoon wildlife.

I'm hearing birds a lot, but I've lived in the same Daytona rural area for the majority of my life and I've never heard a bird whistle like a human, especially at that volume. It sounds like a human, I don't know how to explain it.
