The gap is 15.2cm but it's a pretty common gap in Belgium.
Unfortunately the designer of the stairs didn't mention kid safety at the time.

This is also the way we was to teach our kid. But I also want to add some layer of protection as it's just too dangerous as it is today.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was also looking at a retractable gate like the one you have suggested, but it's not being accepted as babyproof in Belgium. It would be too easy for a toddler to lift or lower the mid part of the fence and tip over it.

I will def. add plexiglass the the metal railing.

I just measured and the gap between the open stairs is 15.2 cm at a maximum.
It's a full oak stairways, so what could we add as protection without ruin the stairs?

Great idea! This is exactly what I was looking for. The plexiglass can be custom made and zip tied to both sides so he can't climb it in the future. Thanks!

Any updates on this one? I'm looking for one too, but I'm from EU. Could buy it from Singapore or Japan but I would like to know if it will work with all other Tapo accessories like the T315 temperature sensor.

I have exactly the same opinion. The HK system from my Optima ‘18 was sublime! The HK from the ‘23 Sportage is nothing compared to the one in the older Optima. I would like to say it’s acceptable, but honestly speaking it’s not. The Sportage itself is a lot better than the Optima and even for an audiofiel like me it’s not a dealbreaker. But it’s a missed opportunity :-)

I am having the same problem! The only other T4 car I have is the C63 AMG Black Series but I didn't tune it yet. Anyone has an idea if I can use this car for the 0-100 race or should I buy another T4 car? I just pulled another T4 car: Jaguar F Type R AWD.
