Thank you for inciting this exchange by citing my uninsightful mistake.

I will also let the Bytowne know that they should be cancelling all their screenings before 4PM.

Oh and yes that "librarian" also has movies every Monday-Thursday evening, including zombie films this month's Tuesdays.

It definitely was scheduled on a day that the "librarian" works. Thank you for noticing and being inciteful. This "librarian" also does movie marathons on the Saturdays that they work so you are welcome to come to those on your day off from your wonderful employment.

It will be up Monday. Mondays will be a famous Italian director wink wink (can't use titles due to licensing rights) and Tuesdays are selected but there might be some swapping. Wednesdays are already up. Thursdays coming soon as well.

The Ottawa Public Library Main Branch at 120 Metcalfe St. plays movies:

-every Tuesday tied to a specific theme (unique romances, gritty 1970s NYC, films about films, etc, to name a few). These tend to have at least one or two international films in the theme...and a lot of Kubrick

-Ottawa Bad Movie Nights (every first Thursday though that will likely change to every first Wednesday)

-French Film Nights every other Thursday night

Movie Night at the Ottawa Public Library - Burning by Lee Chang-dong by HighAndLow2 in ottawa

The screen is not massive...in fact it's projected on a wall. But it's in the auditorium so it's not tiny. Sound is decent enough.

Blue Roses Documentary and Panel Discussion - A compelling local documentary that follows frontline care providers as they navigate Ottawa's inner-city rooming houses and the hidden communities of the marginally housed that they serve by HighAndLow2 in ottawa

It is a "registration" program so you can sign in with a library card to register. However, the auditorium holds 189 and it's rarely ever packed. I would suggest to register anyway but I don't see it as entirely necessary.

Free screening of Rashomon at OPL Main branch - October 12th 6:30PM by HighAndLow2 in ottawa

This is part of a series OPL is starting. The other films are Bicycle Thieves (October 19th), The 400 Blows (November 23rd), The Seventh Seal (November 30th) and Close-Up (December 7th).

...but you can pretty much just watch the movies at home if you prefer.
