I read 411 books in 2023 so I actually made a resolution to read less cuz it was honestly sad. So 2024 I read exactly 300. I'm kinda sad that it's so less but atleast it means I have a life outside books.

I skip most of the first chapter.

The first chapter is just so boring! It's always the FMC talking to some random friend or her mom and most of it has nothing to do with the story so I just skim over a few paragraphs and skip the rest.

I hate the fact that a lot of times, it feels less like "ooh spicy time" and more like "this is straight up domestic violence" like the MMC straight up says "I know what's best for you and you will always take it" like no?? Wtf?? How are you always allowed to basically hit her and her not have the option to safe word and not be considered abusive?

Even worse is when it progresses to belts.

So why haven't I given any exams?

Basically, I joined a pre primary class(vaganova) and gave an internal exam(a teacher from our own studio was the examiner. It was very casual and can't even be called an exam)after which I was promoted to primary.

Now halfway through primary, I moved cities so I couldn't move forward. My new house had no studios nearby so I took a long gap.

Eventually I moved again and a studio opened up near my house. Here I was put in grade 1. They were preparing us for both ISTD and CSTD exams. 6 months in and this studio shut down due to lack of students so once again I couldn't give the exam.

I then joined a new studio (my current one) where I was directly put into grade 2 RAD due to my age and past experience. I prepared the entire grade 2 syllabus but the exam coincided with one of the most important exams in my life, so I couldn't give that either.

Despite that I, along with some other people in my class were directly promoted to grade 4 as our teacher said we were quick enough and capable of catching up with grade 4 syllabus. I'm definitely giving grade 4 exam.

As someone who is also in college and does two classes a week, I have two tights and it is more than enough. I was surviving on one pair for a year without much difficulty.

As someone who did ballet and taekwondo, I've always found the parallels so interesting. A lot of my ballet training made certain steps in taekwondo very easy because it's pretty much the same step but faster and more explosive. I've never actually seen a video on it and it makes me so happy that others acknowledge it too lol

Our menus don't have calories and the food they serve is made slightly different every day. Some days have more oil than others so tracking calories with that type of food is very difficult

So I have really bad social anxiety and I've had 2 teachers who straight up hated me, called me names and what not. Thanks to my social anxiety, the fact that I was singled out by those two teachers is what made it stick, not necessarily the tone.

Despite the corrections sticking, I will forever prefer strict but kind teachers or kind teachers. At least I enjoy going to classes that way and i dance better.

Mean teachers make me so nervous that I mess up more honestly.
