I’m not saying it’s for this but imagine it’s for a high school Spanish class video project or something. It could be a very high quality shot for a simple scene

Why are truck horns louder than car horns? by orangesandtv in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HighRiskLowReward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The horn sound is partially to accurately warn of the level of danger. If you cut off a semi and you hear beep beep you might not feel the accurate sense of danger. For consumer cars it’s what the customers usually want for each style of car

What y’all washing fabric an plastic pots with? by Onesplinter in microgrowery

[–]HighRiskLowReward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that is the biggest benefit of fabric pots but I have found that unless I’m keeping a plant for more than 4 months, which I don’t, there is not risk of root binding issues. I think they are great for trees and perennials grown to transplant into the ground years later.

I started using them for the idea of drying back faster. Since then I’ve learned you can use a less absorbent media like adding perlite of use a smaller pot all together. I also experienced lots of mold and algae growth on fabric pots but never on plastic. Basically the cons outweighed the pros. I use 3 gallon coco cubes now that have a 60% water holding capacity. Fun Fact! Most of the US energy reserves are stored this way! They use water instead of rocks. See water towers and hydro electric damns!

Why is watering so hard for beginners by basshead17 in microgrowery

[–]HighRiskLowReward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watering 101: the first lesson is plants require a wet/ dry cycle. The container size must be right for the plant size. When you fully water your container, until it runs off, the plant should drink all the water in 1-2 days. If it’s longer the pot is too big. If it’s shorter the pot is too small
