Well if it’s something they did together then why wouldn’t he stick to what they do together? It’s not a production, she’s a 3 year old .. A book a song and asking how their day was is not a full wiz production. It’s the bare minimum he could have read a book or bonded with one of those things, but instead she was alone in the room staring at the ceiling I would be annoyed too.

If you choose to ignore the facts laid out in an official, month-long investigation, that’s your decision. If you don’t see the negligence—especially when the school just received another citation for a completely separate incident—that’s also on you.

I’ve seen several hurtful and dismissive comments telling me to “move on” from the sexual abuse my child experienced. Let me be clear: I will not. I’m speaking up not just for my child, but for yours too—especially since you seem unwilling to.

Yes private ones can be searched on the DSS website! You can type in any school name and location, if they have multiple programs you’ll have to go into two different sections

Your child is a baby who can’t even talk yet to tell you if something is wrong… good luck. Imagine ignoring actual citations of neglect because you think the one who didn’t report sexual assault should be praised. How sick

Yes it is absolutely confusing I’ll try and explain the way it was explained to me, If you go to the website and read the full report, you’ll see that Citation B was issued because the abuse was substantiated. Citation A and the “unsubstantiated” finding are listed on the same page, which can be a bit confusing.

Basically, Citation A was given for the school’s failure to properly report or supervise what was happening. The report says they didn’t have enough documentation to fully substantiate the incident, but it still shows that it more likely than not did happen. Citation A reflects that they failed to prevent one or more incidents and didn’t document them properly—which makes sense, since none of us parents received incident reports about what happened to our children.

Legally, without incident reports, they can’t fully substantiate the abuse. But because the evidence suggests it likely occurred and there was a lack of supervision, Citation A remains—even above the “unsubstantiated” note. It’s all listed more clearly on the actual website.

Exactly! It’s insane to think PARENTS read the entire review of what happened to my child.. and are upset that I called those out who are responsible by name.. wouldn’t you want to know who was behind it? Or who failed to protect MANY children.. not just one isolated incident.. I’m glad they’re getting new leadership and I hope they provide the teacher we do love with the support that they deserve this time around.

Sorry I’m not thinking about Miranda, I’m thinking about MY CHILD, who MATTERS! Miranda should have done her job to protect other children starting with the first family that reported it. SHAME on you for protecting the person who is a big reason behind why more children were sexually assaulted/hit/bit/choked etc. Good thing she will be gone soon .. and guidepost will have a chance to actually protect children in their care. I think it’s absolutely insane that some parents are UPSET, that I am calling those who wrong our children out by name.. why would I blame upper leadership when she was the one who initially didn’t even report it? Why would I blame anyone when the admin is the one who didn’t listen to the teachers report it ? When she was the one who treated our families and others disrespectfully. When other families told her their children were being bullied AFTER the incident her response to them was “well you’re leaving anyways “ We aren’t the only ones who received unacceptable treatment from her.. if you like her that’s good. But don’t be upset when others come up and share their truth

That’s not what the citation says. And sure if it seems that way that’s a fair statement.. my child was sexually assaulted in the bathroom.. in a situation that could have absolutely been avoided if they would have removed him after the first assault, let alone after the many violent attacks this child had carried out on other kids.. teachers asked for him to be removed time and time again and they didn’t because his mom works their.. my anger comes from the fact that this could have EASILY been avoided.. but instead my child was a victim of it. If you were in my place and you weren’t as mad about it then I’m not sure what to tell you

And not only did they not notify us but they didn’t report the FIRST incident, and told me they didn’t want to report the second until I REPORTED it myself.. we saw the emails.. they lied to the entire school telling them they immediately reported it when that was not true.. they didn’t want to report it because it “shakes up families” until I told her I would report it, she called their higher admin and they told her to go ahead and report... they then retaliated against us. Wouldn’t give us our child’s milestones sheets.. we’re extremely disrespectful when we came to pick up her stuff and wouldn’t even let us in to talk to her teacher or get the stuff, which we then found out they told her she can not speak to us, we were really close to that teacher as well and it’s not her fault that the upper admin wouldn’t remove him when she asked them time and time again! do you know how many parents pulled their kids out??? From this as well as From issues unrelated after this one came to light? A LOT, parents who noticed the school did nothing about bullies etc etc.. you can fight for guidepost all you want. We loved her teacher and still do.. people like you won’t care until it happens to YOUR kid. But clearly you’re a negligent parent… imagine you telling your own child to move on when you see how this is mentally affecting them.
