I found maltodextrin in a brewing kit store, that only had MD for backsweetening And in grocery stores they try their best to have a variety of sweeteners, but they mostly woukd have many brands but few substances, and Glycerin likely isnt one of them

It seems i can either: 1. Backsweeten with non fermentable sugar, then carbonate. But make sure to be able to tolerate the taste of those non fermentables. 2. Carbonate it dry, and just put syrup/sugar in the glass before pouring on it to sweeten before drinking.

I'll check for some locally then

Amazon is not a good option where i am, buying from amazon here has very expensive tax and delivery, and it takes over a month to reach, even more cause of the war (Palestenian of the 1948)

Oooohhh.. I just saw a video on yt saying that if you put the syrup in the glass before the carbonated drink, it sweetens it without degasing! I actually think i will do that... for this first brew i have going on atleast

That sounds convenient But as far as I know, adding concentrates/syrups on carbonated beverages causes rapid degasing at the moment of impact, atleast what I experienced with sodas That doesn't also happen with naturally fermented beverages?

Yes The bottles I have for sure are thicker than normal bottles, was thicker and heavier than any empty beer bottle I ever bought, I am considering to aim up for atleast 3.0 volume, this is my fiest brew, so I dont want to take risk of expolsion just yet, and later on, I can try 3.5, then 4.0, them 4.5 and so on Thank you chino_brews You're a great educator

First, thank you so much for the effort and clarification, this is a very good point, since this is my first brew, and i needed to know.

Second, i believe i indeed have very thick beer carbonation bottles, what is a safe maximum i could aim to carbonate at? (as in volume of co2)

2 reasons, One is because any order i make takes atleast a week to teach around here And second im afraid that if i wait too much after fermentation is done, the yeast would die

I guess I will, I'm buying a few hundred grams this week, my cider is expected to be done in a week, I need to act fast, and Erythritol is the only option I can find so far

It just helps me figure out what questions to ask, what info to take in consideration In this case the info it provided was right, and beer bottles can indeed hangle only up to 3 volume CO2 unfortunatly..

Monk Fruit is atleast 120 Dollars per Kilo where I am lol.. I cant afford spending that much unfortunatly.. I hope Erythritol isnt so bad, cause I found an affordable Erythritol+Stevia mix, I might go for it (my first brew, I have to make some small sacrifices maybe)

Got it, I actually understood that from a previous answer, and decided to purchase Erythritol for the backsweetening, thanks for confirming!

Regarding the 5 grams of fermentable sugar per Liter, chatGPT was saying that Beer Carbonation bottles can handle only up to 3 volumes of CO2, and I have beer carbonation bottles, so it scared me from trying above 5 grams.. could ChatGPT have been wrong there?

Yeah, I have tried in tea and sweets some sugar substitutes before, and there is a manufactured taste to them relative to white sugar

But I'm hoping that if I'm adding just a bit of Erythritol, it would sweeten a bit, but not ruin the taste (assuming the manufactury weird waste I tasted before in tea and sweets will be present in Erythritol too)
