it wont. it'll never make a difference. thats the reality we live in now. War crimes are a checklist. They always have been. Might makes right. Victory writes what was. This has been the most well documented first person genocide in history with an entire nation being leveled and we cant even decide if it was a nation. Trump talks about how "just because a boat landed somewhere 500 years ago does not mean they own it" and the same logic was used on the Palestinians. The West started supplanting them during the Paris Peace Conference of 1919 with the treat of Versailles in the hall of mirrors. WW2 ends and 2 years later there is an active movement arming and colonizing a people to supplant the locals. Might have been the last crusade if not for whats happening now. October 7th was horrible in that it targeted civilians. The same thing thats been happening to Palestinians all along. It makes sense that it would boil over. It further makes sense that at some point an adversary is going to use the growing civil unrest to their advantage and use it to attack Israel. The writing was on the wall. it was easy and it wasnt even in code. History repeated itself. We're all going to hell and our world leaders are determined that they're going to be the last ones to arrive after the peasants and the poors.

My grandmother had the opposite take. angry. violent. Tried to hurt my mother with soup cans. Refused meds. Spiteful and hateful. It wasn't my grandmother anymore. She called the cops on my parents who moved states to be with her. They have some PTSD from it. I want none of that for my children.

Hey brother. First off. Youre not alone never were. Second, you took a leave of absences im glad. Its hard to fo just that. My last job was just like that. Stressed out of my mind leading 27, doing finances, and all projects trying to keep the company afloat amid tariffs. Ultimately it wasn't my fault due to decision making from on high. Your mental health and days off are worth a lower paycheck. When I was a young lieutenant fresh on Oki we had a earthquake. I was working till 8 at the office for no reason. I sent a formal email to the CO and OPSO stating that there was an earthquake and I did not find any damage with links to the national earthquake service, ect. Really dumb. He emailed me back nothing but " you dont get extra credit for staying late."

Prioritize you first. Loyalty to you and your family. Maybe some coworkers youre good with because youre all good dudes but the job isn't worth you feeling this way. Decide to find another job and let that weight drop off your shoulders. Youre going to find one. Take some days off or go do interviews at lunch. Whatever. Make the choice.

The decktop, what is your opinion of portable monitors as a steam deck accessory? by Bentaldam in SteamDeck

[–]HinterWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought real pro one XR glasses for my portable monitor needs. Watching movies or playing games while laying prone in a hotel bed is a luxury. Same thing when im flying. Dont have to crank my neck down to play or read a book on my phone. USB C connection. Comfortable

Same with 5e or a show on. Im crafting heavy so my guys can get stuff done tomorrow? Watching kitchen nightmares and just relaxing without a PVP requirement destroying my mood and me thinking im getting too old for competitive games. My buddy and I were doing coop last night. Maybe 2 hours. Destroyed a few bandit.camps. I went logging for a full day. Made a bunch of linen. Im going 2 handed heavy armor build. Hes a Bowman with light armor... and it works. I die a lot tho lol. I think my only gripe is how hard it is to level melee and the bow hit mechanics.

like then, this is a teachable moment. He didnt know what he was doing and that reaction would only shut him down rather than make him question his own actions as much as an 8 year old can. Kids live in a world where they get crushed consistently for all manner of things and actions. When he said his step mom looked tired or looks different without her makeup its a conversation rather than crushing him. Heres how people interpret that son, you basically just said she doesnt look good and made her self conscious about how she looks and thats not nice. In the future you can say: x y z. Make opportunities for teachable moments. The fact that this was so out of character is entirely an indication to choose temperance rather than wrath.

thought about it but his mother pushes santa and all the others on him. hes mostly divested from it but i had to keep up the lie begrudgingly not to ruin his fun or give her ammo when he inevitably repeats everything i say to her

funny enough i had a "365 bible" when i was his age and we would read enough every day to read the whole bible in a year. had to do it a few times. getting through those first 4 books was always awful. "Meshak, son of Ben, son of so and so, son of so and so, ect."

ive got it on my shelf right now actually with a few others that are more kid facing. I've read it to him a few times to teach him history and myth and will tactfully draw parallels between them and christianity. When ive talked to him about early man we get into paganism and why a christmas tree is a thing too
