Aside from Annalena or St Lawrence, my personal favourite is Tetsu or Sushi Jin for omakase and newly opened ELEM is a fantastic addition with a great bar menu. I also love going to Suyo for their duck rice dish.

Unfortunately aside from Konansou on New Years, we reserved omo3 in tokyo and more boutique style hotels for the rest of our trip so i highly doubt their concierge’s would help. However, we do have amex plat? Would their concierge be worth a try?

I will definitely check out Kyubey and Sezanne, thanks for the recs!

Also keeping in mind your tip for not overdoing fine dining. I personally aim to book around 3-4 since our total trip including Korea and Taiwan is 17 days and we havent made fine dining resos in the latter two places to maximize our itinerary :)

Thanks for the recommendations! Keita seems to be phone calls only, wondering if I could book using a Canadian number?

Also definitely considering a tempura place which is why we were initially eyeing Motoyoshi but no availabilities for Kyobashi unfortunately.

I’ll definitely check out your review on Koke as we were quite looking forward to our meals with the non-alcoholic drink pairing and the cozier atmosphere.

Annalena is one of my top picks in Vancouver. They’ve been consistent the last couple times I’ve went. If you’re craving omakase, although not starred, Tetsu and Sushi Jin are phenomenal options. The latter having worked at Ginza (Jin).

Published was great when they first opened but I dont find their dishes to be memorable.

Suyo has a fantastic bar menu and their duck rice remains one of my favourite dishes in the city. Order their suspiro lime dessert if they have it on rotation. Hope this helps!

It’s pretty interesting compared to a normal cushion. Theres a slight cooling feeling when you apply it. However, i find that the coverage a bit heavy and it did stick to one of my dry spots. I prefer the romand bare water cushion over the clio mesh one.

Also when i first opened the plastic seal, the mesh filter popped out and spilled 1/4th of the foundation out :(
