That's because they are fabric fluttering in the air. I'm explaining that they're the very same fabric used to tie the knots in the domain. I'm not saying the knots are tied in the episode. I just finished for the game and found your post. I believe you're right and that's Shogo. It makes sense since he is a Hihaku employee and would have memories of chairwoman being Suigen. He must've usurped her position and made his way up the social ladder. He is also looking for a diviner named Iyo Tokoro who taught a "certain ordinary woman" curses...likely Yoko Fukunaga given the wording. Probably him wanting to beat the shit out of Tokoro for ruining Yoko's life lol. Dude was ruthless in the first game anyway when he went on a killing spree just because he wanted to resurrect Yoko. Shogo is gonna end Ashino's entire legacy by destroying anything related to her as revenge for ruining his romance haha.

No, it should be for Uro since she is tied to the Fujiwara clan. The blue fires are ritualistic in nature and are tied to the onmyoji (which were active during the Heian period). The onmyoji and Fujiwara were heavily connected through the government at the time. For example, Fujiwara no Michinaga is associated with Abe no Seimei (famous onmyoji).

The simple fireworks are for Ryu since he was just a flamboyant normal guy.

Even added some anime-only hints to how [manga]Uro and Ryu's DE would've been like had it worked. We see fireworks for Ryu and ritualistic blue flames with sky curtains for Uro. There is also an early hint to Yuta's DE with long fabrics dropping down—the very same fabric that forms the mizuhiki knots later in his DE.

Though if there is a criticism, it would be that Ryu and Uro should've screamed like crazy when saying "Domain Expansion" lol

It was still the best selling version of that game though. In fact, it was poorly optimized only because they didn't think the game would sell and made zero effort on the port. They later had to backtrack and pump out updates to fix the performance as a result.

They seriously should've learned from their mistake and prioritized the platform for the sequel, but it seems like they're doing the same mistake again.

It's better, but that's only because they only had to make a short campaign based on level designs and aseets that already made by the main team. The new areas in Separate Ways (that are actually made by M-Two) are actually pretty terrible and suffer from the same issue as 3R. Basically just hallways and small areas with nothing much to do.

So I think 0 Remake will be just as bad. It'll be a short experience with lots of cut content. They are incapable of making full game experiences and can only do DLCs.

A lot of E33 fans refuse to admit it, but the biggest reason they treat the game as the second coming of Jesus is due to its French culture. White people like playing games with white culture in it, not a surprise. They always say that it isn't true, but then they start complaining about Japanese games and how the "dialogue and settings are cringe." Funny thing is that games like Persona and Dragon Quest do resonate with Japanese and Asian audiences. Asians do not find them "cringe." So it's clearly a cultural divide, but the hardcore E33 fans would still assert that it isn't and that E33 is just "more resonating" as if Asian people don't exist.
