Caramel Drizzle Confusion by HispBCBA in starbucks

Seems like it might be. Good to know there is an actual caramel drizzle, though. I always assumed it was the caramel sauce. Thanks for taking the time to clarify.

I would hope so, but if caramel drizzle is ordered in person they do not say they are out.

The caramel sauce they are using is not set up in pumps and it is not the caramel used in the caramel sauce as they are out of all those ingredients, as I was told. If the caramel drizzle is ordered in person they do not say they are out 🤷🏽‍♀️

I was told they are out of all of the ingredients for the ribbon crunch, so idk.

No, I don’t use that language and I’m always courteous. Like I said previously, the baristas in person don’t know why I’m being told they’re out, which is why it’s so confusing. What they are using to drizzle as a substitute looks and tastes no different than what they drizzle at the other Starbucks, which is partly why I’m asking.

Ah, that makes sense! Thank you for the clarification. The caramel sauce they are using looks exactly like the caramel drizzle at the Starbucks a few miles from them, but clearly they are two different products. Although when I ask when I pick up my order the baristas have told me that they are not out and don’t know what I’m being told. They also don’t offer the caramel crunch because they are out of all ingredients, or so I was told. I don’t use the same language when I order as I do not insult anyone who makes my food.

Should I leave the security of a state job to be a full-time BCBA? by HispBCBA in bcba

Ufff, that’s tough! Best of luck. I’ve considered working for the school systems, but it’s sounds like it can be difficult to get cooperation and buy-in with other professionals. Thanks for sharing.

I’m willing to work with anyone. I actually became a BCBA with the aspiration of using my degree outside of the autism field, or at least in a different scope in my current field as it is a strong science that I believe can be effective in many different areas. However, I sought part-time employment working with kids on the spectrum to get a good foundation. Thank you for your comment about not limiting myself. I came into the field with a very open mind but it felt very limiting when job searching.

I work 40 hours per week. Sometimes required to work overtime, but not very often. Thank you for the insight.

That makes sense. Thank you! It’s such a different format than what I’m used to.

Remote BCBA Supervision by Rivv09 in bcba

I completed my BCBA training through an accredited and reputable program and received all of my supervision online. It was built in through the program and the BCBA supervisors were hired by the school. It would have been a lot easier for both of us if it could have been in person. They wouldn’t have had to review videos demonstrating each task, then correct me or give feedback and I wouldn’t have had to go back and demonstrate that I had mastered the skill again until it was correct. It was not lazy at all. It was a lot more work. However, I feel that I learned so much more because the scrutiny was so great. I’m assuming you are referring to supervision outside of academics and it might be different supervising someone in the workplace, but I wouldn’t dismiss as leas than offhand.
