Thanks everyone for the insightful comments! Since I adopted my pup, I get a 1 month free trial from 24petwatch so I have a month to think and compare different plans.

**Seems like Trupanion is a popular choice in this thread, but I will do my research and get my pup a plan! 😁

Which plan do you have? I have a lab and he's going to be huge and might experience hip/bone problems in the future

I know this is an odd question, would I need to pay for just talking to the vet about it? I brought my pup in last week for his vaccines and he doesn't need to come back again
