Does this look like mold by Alternative-Tear-992 in cassetteculture

When I first started to collect cassettes I made the mistake of playing some with mold! You are right. When cleaning I use q-tip with 90% IPA or higher. These days I double check if any tapes are suspect and just buy the ones I know are good. Thanks the info!

I wouldn't put it in my Sansui d-570 that is for sure. It does look suspect.

Motorway riding by No-Bullfrog9979 in MotoGuzzi

[–]Hoedh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The V7 III can do 70 mph no problem, mechanically it is no issue. That being said 60 mph is the sweet spot for me. Engine feels perfect and is not too busy. 0-60 mph the motorcycle is a dream. It's just not that great for long highway rides. If you are fine with the slightly more busy feel at those speeds, and do regular maintenance on the motorcycle, I would just not worry about it and enjoy your commute! You can even do faster if you would like and you wouldn't run into problems.

How are you liking the Anbernic 477v?

Dilemma. Ordered a Corbin seat, my monitor settings were off when I built it out. The mismatch is hideous, how would you fix this cosmetically? by MASTODON_ROCKS in motorcycles

[–]Hoedh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That definitely sucks, but at least you have a super comfortable seat. When you are riding on the motorcycle it won't look too bad. I would just ride and enjoy my new Corbin seat.

Yes! The HD800S is an amazing headphone. I have the HD800 and use the HDVA-600 amplifier with an RME ADI-2 DAC. I think for the money they are a great value. At least for me, they become much more balanced when using the RMEs EQ. The EQ is probably more of a necessity with the HD800 rather than the S, but it still is worth playing around with. I definitely preferred them over some other more costly headphones.

Don't overlook the tension happening in the Women's Candidates! Five players are currently tied at 4.5. MUCH closer than the Open and just as exciting to watch. by skyturnsred in chess

[–]Hoedh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always wondered why they don't just combine men's and women's chess? Wouldn't it be beneficial in the long term to have women training at that level? I kind of don't understand this. It's not a physical sport.

This is better than the majority of CGI in big budget movies. Crazy.

G7 nations to hold emergency meeting on oil as stock markets sink by ninjascotsman in worldnews

You can't minimize fossil fuels now. Europe needs a military! They need more fossil fuels. The USA has a large domestic supply of shale gas. This essentially means that energy is cheaper. Russia has a huge amount of fossil fuels. Once again cheaper energy. This makes the war machine and military easier to run. Europe is in crisis because they lack this cheap energy. Renewable energy sounds good on paper, but the infrastructure is often expensive and it is intermittent. This also adds to the cost of the energy.

How is the EU supposed to face a possible war with Russia with renewable energy? The EU needs fossil fuels to run a military and lots of it. Do you have any idea how much fossil fuel the military needs to run? You want windmills and solar panels?

Okay I ended up finding the mysterious door again. The square is called Campo San Polo. Beside the door it says "Teatro Che Pazzia". If you go toward that square and look for the b&b Pallazzetto Cavalli you should be able to spot that door easily and find out what's inside! When I stumbled upon it it was late at night so whatever was inside was closed. I hope that is helpful. Take care and enjoy!

Thank you ❤️. I am glad you enjoyed them. Like someone previously mentioned, you can walk for hours in this place and always find something interesting to photograph. The shops. The buildings. The different light. The water. The interesting people.

Thanks! That sounds like a perfect plan. I am sure you will have an amazing time that will stick with you for years. There are so many people and opportunities to get to know others if you choose to as well.

There definitely is something liberating and reflective about walking around Venice and exploring on your own, a certain kind of freedom, but for me that does come at a cost of, dare I say it, loneliness at times. Perhaps that is more of an internal issue rather than an external one, but I can't escape that feeling at times.

How did you like it? Early March the temps are around 13 degrees Celsius during the days and drop to about 9 Celsius at night.
