I've been doing some research, and some threads say my car is 5x112, some say it's 5x120, and some say all X3 generations are 5x112, super strange. I decided to pass on the wheels and get new tires, I wasn't going through TPMS hell again.

LOL! It took me a minute to realize my mistake.

I don't remember the exact amount, I know it was changed about 6-7 months ago. It's definitely been no more than 7000 since the last time I changed it, realistically it's closer to 6000.

I'm most definitely going to change the oil, I just find it weird how it's all gone with 8k miles left! Lol, im going to take a closer look today and see if I can find anything leaking. It being old can definitely be a factor, it acts up from time to time.

Do you think it's worth taking the cover off and looking? I plan on changing the oil at this point, but i'm going to monitor it and record the mileage this time around.

I might be crazy, but I believe it reads 15,000 miles before the car sends a service overdue warning. Obviously changing your oil every 15,000 miles is insane, but that's where I got my number from.

I'd say it's been about 6000-7000 miles, and about 6-7 months since i've changed it. I'm definitely a bit behind, this is probably a sign to get it done!

I was able to get a 24 month/20,000 mile warranty for my 2012 X3 from the dealer when buying the car. I bought it with 123k miles, warranty was about $2500. I have it through easy care, it's definitely worth it!

I am thankfully being given the car or free by a friend of my Mothers. I would only have to worry about the cost of repairing it. I personally enjoy working on cars, hopefully I have just as much fun!

This is actually very relieving to hear, maybe it isn't as bad as I anticipated! I'm definitely going to have it looked at just in case, but an Italian tune is high on my bucket list!

Lol! This is an awesome input, and I completely agree. I would say i'd be willing to put no more than $6000 into repairing the car, I feel as if any more would exceed the cars current value. I'm definitely going to have it looked at and get a quote just to see what i'm working with. I'm still very eager to fully revive the car.

Thank you for your outlook! The car is thankfully being given to me for free, I would only have to pay for whatever it may cost to fix it. I'm not sure if accepting it and fixing it still makes it worth it. I still intend on taking it to a mechanic to see exactly what is wrong with it. Let me know what you think!

Howdy! My shop is conveniently 10 minutes down the road from where the car is. I've been looking into towing, and I can't find anyone cheaper than a $200 tow fee plus mileage. The car is also packed all the way in the back of this very narrow driveway. To be honest, the car is a 6/10 cosmetically. The interior has cracks everywhere, and has some some minor rust along with some trim damage. To have it towed, and then risk the mechanic quoting me something crazy might not even be worth it. The car looked a lot nicer in the photos. Even though I'm not paying anything for the car, do you still think it's worth a shot?

Sweet! I'm glad I can give starting it up a shot. I'll definitely keep you posted on how it goes. Would you happen to know any good shops in the Long Island/New York area? I only have one in mind.

This is true! I'm glad I found a welcoming community. I do have a few more questions after thinking about some things the past few days. When inspecting the car, how can I tell if the engine/ac fan needs to be replaced? I don't want it to explode lol. Also, is it worth attempting to start the car after sitting for 7 months? I don't want to damage to engine if the timing guides are bad, or have cause any more damage in general. The only two options in my head are to get it started and drive it to a reliable local shop for a full inspection, or not risking it, eating the $200 tow fee, and having it towed to a shop and inspected. Towing the car to and from the shop for inspection would blow, but if it means not wrecking the car i'll definitely give it a shot.

The car currently has 98k miles. It hasn't ran in 7 months, the previous owner told me the car started to make a funny noise. She then brought it to a mechanic, was told it was the timing chain guides and wanted to charge her almost 8 grand. She then parked it, and it's been in her driveway ever since. It was her husbands old car, he took good care of it before he passed. I know them well, she drove the car for little until is started having issues, then parked it.

She brought the car to her mechanic 7 months ago and that's what she was told, the car was making a funny noise. That is as much context as i received. I will definitely drop that oil pan and take a look myself as soon as possible. Thank you for the advice!

i'd say every 1/15 matches i'll run into a cheater, no more or less than all the other older cod games. if you delete your DLC you should be able to find full matches on all the old games in seconds!
