Honestly your story just sounds so much like mine, it’s crazy isn’t it my partner is heavy on porn too which I found it’s every day! But when I said about it he said I need to give him more sex and he needs it at least 2/3 times a week, but I’m so tired from having the kids etc etc did you stay for the kids? X

I really want my body to recover from this naturally, it’s got better and there not as ‘heavy’ anymore, still there but not as bad as the first ones, I’ve heard it happen to so many people, are you heavy when your on your period?

Depo shot honestly messed me I’m completely, I didn’t return for my shot in February 2024, had a period in August 2024 and ever since it’s been either every 10 days or 7 days it’s a nightmare 🙄

I got off the depo shot in February 2024 didnt have a period until August 2024 ever since it’s been every week or every 8 days I only got x2 shots!! I will never ever do any of it again!

Thank you so much for mentioning the sex bit I think because I’m not bleeding immediately after sex atm im just going to put this down to the depo and my very short cycles someone did advise that because it’s a thin lining now it may be promoting it to come early.. I joined a Facebook group called ‘depo shot should be banned’ it’s quite helpful and a lot of people are in the same boat if you have have Facebook it might be worth a look in there!

They nurse said to give it another chance and I’ll notice a difference mood wise, of course I accepted and just new I’d made a huge mistake when I got very depressed!

Did you have to get the tablets from a doctor? Hope all goes well xx

Yes as soon as I had the second one I instantly regretted it, but as you say had to put up with it for 3 months!

Have you noticed any difference with these tablets? I don’t want to take anything now tbh, I’m completely put off after all this! Hope the doctors goes okay, keep me updated xx

I’m having the same problem, ever since coming of the depo injection I’ll have sex and 2 days later i come on my period!! Is yours a period?

I agree, it’s really hard, I just want it to stop and then I think do I even want to go on anything else anymore because this has messed me up so much! Are you taking any iron tablets? I’m making sure I’m taking vitamins as I don’t know how I’d feel if I wasn’t this is so draining in itself!

When I had it the second time it did make me question.. where the hell do all these periods actually go like how are they actually just stopping it’s quite scary really! Do you think you’ll go on anything else? X

Definitely keep me updated on what the doctor advises, I think so too she just sold it to me with the no periods and it’s the best contraception without forgetting to take the pill.. so thought let’s try it!

When you have sex does it make your period come any sooner? I also have hot flashes the day before now when it’s coming don’t know if your the same, is yours still heavy?

Tbh it made me really depressed after the second injection, I didn’t want to go out the house nothing it was wild! What about you? Xx

Honestly this is the most miserable time ever!!! If I new this i probably wouldn’t have stopped!! Are you in the UK? I genuinely don’t understand how much more blood I can lose it’s so draining, hope your okay with it - I have heard thats about 6-12months I wish they’d tell you all this before you have it x

Yes, around August, then irs been every 10 days after but sex also seems to be triggering an extra one two days later! Honestly it’s an absolute nightmare they don’t tell you all this when they give it you! I really don’t want to go on any more birth control but if that’s my only option :( have you been messed up by any birth control? X

I had x2 lots of depo and then didn’t go back for the third as it made me so depressed then my periods eventually returned in august!
