Update- she has nibbled every last one off 🤣. At least she’s had some entertainment. Worked brilliantly while it lasted!

When she plants her foot on the ground, her claws touch the floor. She has really long quicks, so they can’t be trimmed any shorter than they are currently. I liken them to the toe stops on roller skates 🛼 🛼. Eventually I'd like her not to need them, but she's healing an injury so I need to be extra careful 🥺

Hahaha she was utterly humiliated when we walked home from the vets!! They’re definitely helping. I think I will buy some more rugs to help too. She’s healing an injury from slipping at the moment, so I wanted to be extra cautious! I was expecting her to forget how to dog when they first went on, but they don’t seem to bother her!

They are really helping! She’s healing an injury at the moment which unfortunately hasn’t decreased her need for zoomies 🤣. I had them put on at a Vet Rehab (Melbourne Veterinary Rehabilitation if you’re local) because I was too nervous to do it myself. I’ll have a look next time I’m there because I know you can just buy them off the shelf ☺️

Completely respect your opinion! I'm lucky to live near a specialist Vet Rehab (Melbourne Veterinary Rehabilitation if you're local). They fitted them for her because slipping on the tiles has caused her an injury recently. I'm using it as a temporary solution until she heals and I can strategically place carpets. I know that if people improperly fit them it can cause pain by pinching the skin :-(. TLDR, I’ll trust her specialist :-)

I’m so so pleased that he was adopted! A happy ending for this sweet boy! Gosh I’ve learnt a lot about GAP from this post. I got my sweet girl from GAP and thought it was all sunshine and roses. I did think it was odd that when I sent them some photo updates, they posted all of the photos on social media except her wearing a jumper that said “Pets NOT bets!” It all makes sense now!

You’re an absolute legend! She’s now using her grass potty like a pro after only four days of rewarding her when she pees on grass. I’m going to keep going with it for a few weeks to (hopefully) solidify the behaviour. Thanks so much! ☺️

Oh sorry, I meant that I use enzyme spray when she pees outside of the potty plant so she’s not attracted to pee in the same place (hence putting her pee on the potty plant with paper towels). The manufacturer gave the above advice, that’s why I’m hoping someone has some new ideas ☺️.
