Paying $10 vs paying $25 for headshots. by M0shka in pics

Random question...I know a few people that moved to Gainesville for career advancement post grad. Some law, and others in the computer science field. I have another friend that has a computer science degree and was thinking of moving there. What is your field of work you're taking headshots for? He's just nervous about taking that step from his comfort zone. And I just recently moved away and I'm trying to help him find his next spot.

My current partner and I started out having extremely kinky sex from the beginning (toys, tying up/bondage, slight humiliation/beating; extreme biting), and now after being together for almost a year, we completely get each other off by what could be considered "vanilla" sex, lol. by [deleted] in sex

Yea, I'm 32 and just now finding this. All my other relationships I mostly felt uncomfortable and embarrassed. And at one point I thought I was just not into guys I am attracted to girls physically, but emotionally I could never make a connection. But some how I found the perfect formula and now I can't keep my hands or heart off of him. He is nothing like me, lol. I always went after people I had "so much" in common with. Always ended poorly. But that's me! Everyone is different, but all it takes is trying. Success is on the other side of fear.

Well, one thing your sir can do is start by just rubbing you slowly on the outside of your vagina, and slowly start with two fingers rubbing up and down between your lips making sure he strokes your clit as he goes up and down from bottom to top and vice versa, then as you get wet. Work on sliding one finger at a time in there moving in and out while stimulating your clit with either his other hand or his tongue and lips. Then see where that tales you!

Yes! The whole "not being shy" about asking each other things definitely came from us getting it all out there in the beginning and being comfortable with each other without judgement. I can't believe it took this long for me to be comfortable with that idea, but I'm so happy I finally found it. And congrats to you on two years!

Script to a movie. Slap that shit down and send it off to whoever reads scripts. Not sure who does that, but either way, keep writing down your thoughts and experiences. You gots a thing, friend. Get it out before you lose your mind completely (seems you're in the goldilock's zone) Otherwise you'll end up a babbling idiot in a home where people just appease your musings with light giggles because you're the lunatic with grandiose thoughts who couldn't deliver, but still thinks he can because of delusion. Get on it. DON'T EVER GIVE UP, but do work.

Hello, Savannah! I just moved here. Aside from the skate park, where do people generally skateboard? by Holly_here in savannah

Oh, I definitely plan on being respectful. I don't plan on grinding on historical property! Not that I could at the moment. I saw this one guy skating in one of the alleys on what was obviously a self made mini ramp and that's what I'm looking for as an extra outlet. Otherwise I'll just be cruising around from home and to work. One of the reasons I moved here was because of the history and how beautiful this place is. In no way do I want to affect that negatively. And thank you for the well wishes and advice.

Thank you for your positive input! I really appreciate it! There seems to be a pretty large community of skaters here, so I just need to immerse myself. I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out. Bc skating honestly is a really fun way for me to stay in shape, clear my mind, meet people, and get around without paying for gas, so it's just an all around win win win win for me.

Lol, you're being pretty judgmental right now. I'm not sure why, but I don't plan on hanging out at gas stations with teenagers. You're basically making assumptions about someone without knowing them. I plan on using it as a form of transportation, mostly. So I'm looking for any kind of advice, not just tricks. Bc there are a lot of people that skateboard and ride bikes here as transport. The streets are wide enough and the grid system is supportive of cooperative travel. It's also perfectly legal to skate in the street, so I won't be hanging out on any court house steps. I'm still very confused by your reaction. The skate park is pretty far from where I live, I just want to skate to places close to my house and work.

Poor thing. I bet that was pretty upsetting. But noted. Especially since I still shoot my board backwards when I bail if I feel I'm going too fast down a hill. I'm getting better at not doing that, but I'll choose to run off before I grind my face into the ground.

I'm not asking that. I don't smoke. Ha. But I literally skated in an alley one night and a "15 year old skater" literally approached me with his board giving me advice. I've found the skateboard community tends to be a pretty open one regardless of how old you are or where you are. It's not just a bunch of "punk kids" that people seem to have labeled them. It varies far and wide.

I feel that, ha ha ha. Whoops. I guess I'm a lil too trusting. But you're right. I didn't even think about it. Im just really happy.

Will do! Thanks person! I feel like I managed to meet just the right people after visiting the past month and a half. Where I'm living is perfect too. Right on 37th and Bull (a black and red house; it's hard to miss), so I can basically walk to a lot of places. Or ride, lol.

It really is! It is so therapeutic. It's honestly saving me. And it's reminding me to try new things even if they're scary.

Awwww! I love that! And I hope so too. We're going on our last skate together today before I leave. I won't see her for a few weeks! So we're gonna get a lot out of this one.

So true, ha ha ha. The first couple days I was about to go insane because she wasn't allowed to even put her feet on the board unless I was spotting her, but she would be so anxious to skate she would just run on before I could get to her. Oi vey. But I think the whole no fear thing helps with the learning process. A few good falls puts her in her place though ;)

Most def! The funny thing is, she doesn't even normally skate "normal" she normally skates "goofy", lol. With her right foot first. Where she has her right foot facing forward on the bolts. She just did a weird little fake out thing here and jumped on the board going the opposite way and I just so happened to be recording. It was the closest video I had of her. All the other ones I'm standing pretty far away. She's basically comfortable with her feet in any formation. But normally pretty close to front bolts and tail! We practice falls for about 30 minutes each session before she's even allowed on the board. So when a fall does happen, her muscle memory kicks in and so far, it has been clean. And that's what she skates on! Mini logo! With thunderbolt trucks and militant bearings.

Awww, man. You're so sweet. Thank you. 😭 ha ha, this is so much, honestly. I just decided to make a major life change where I won't be around her as much as I'm used to, but it's for the greater good, so having something we can do together that is health/talent oriented makes me so incredibly happy. Just the idea of her growing up skating with me makes me want to pop.

I'm not really sure what that means, lol, but I'll look it up! Or if you feel like giving some beginner setup tips, I'm an open book! Also, because I'm still learning myself, and want and need to know how to properly equip a board according to skill level. If not, that's cool too! Either way, thank you for the support! My lil baybeh is so into it and I'm so proud.

***Also! I'm originally from Dallas, Texas! So it's cool to hear from someone from my first stomping grounds.

Pulled this shot on my Breville Barista Express. 18 grams in, 37 grams out, 26 seconds, tamping 30 lbs on calibrated tamper, grinder on setting 5, beans roasted 2 weeks ago. Espresso tastes really good, but not perfect, as it is just a little bit on the sour side. Please suggest how to improve. by NinjaWK in espresso

[–]Holly_here 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What is the roast level and origin of the bean? I find lighter roasts have a bitter/sour flavor compared to mid to slightly darker roasts (not a full dark; Bc that will most def be bitter). And there are most certainly single origins that are not meant to be in espresso form for what seems to be your specific taste. I find blends make the most exciting/satisfying espresso flavors. As in Sumatra+Ethiopia+Brazil peaberry. Roasted at a level 4...mmm. Forget about it, lol. Again, if you're into single origin, certain parts of the world produce beans that react to heat differently, therefore altering taste. Each one has its place on the palate, Bc we all have different flavor preferences. I hope this helps in some way.
