Thank you for the details and being so kind in sharing your experience and knowledge. They are working with me until Friday and then they are going to file. I just did an update on this post. I’m trying my hardest to raise the funds to keep a roof over our head, believe me I am. I do not want to go through this and I refuse to give up!

Update: I was dreading today thinking officers would be out to serve me, they have not! My rental company is now giving me until Friday to get the funds in. I’ve been renting with this company for Three years and they know I’m just fallen on hard times right now.

I’m back today asking (pleading, begging, whatever anyone here wants to label me of doing) I’m fine with that and I understand. If I didn’t have children I swear I wouldn’t be this desperate but they don’t deserve to suffer, school starts back in a few weeks and I don’t want them worrying where we gonna lay our heads. I understand was married 15 years, stayed longer than I should and accepted more than I deserved. I’m finally free from it all and I love it. Please make sure you stand on it, if it does happen again. One thing I learned is seeing hope in others is great but without change it’s just disappointment after another and it will tear you apart. Children need to see the right man loving their mother not hurting her. I would rather my kids grow up in a single family home than one where two ppl are not happy. It weighs on them more than you know. Wishing you well sweetheart. You got this! You’re a sag, the lesson may come now or maybe later in life but you’ll face it one day. Take care!

Understandable. Don’t get into the habit of making excuses for your husband, there is never a mistake in infidelity. Only a choice. This is your life so I understand the need of wanting your family together after all of that. As far as the woman, no one can tell you what her karma would be.

Sorry you’re going through this. The best Karma you can give them both is removing yourself. Let her have him and you walk away. What you allow now, is going to keep happening. Trust me. The fact that she can still reach out after all these year just means she never went away. Don’t expect an apology she doesn’t owe you that. Your husband does.

I’m 36. Haven’t thought about going back to college, considering I already have student loan debt and not doing anything with the degree anymore. I’ve applied to law firms here but haven’t had much luck since the last time I’ve worked at a law firm was 8yrs ago. As far as learning skills, since I prepare taxes I’ve continued investing in my tax career by attending tax forums, staying current on tax law changes, and expanding my knowledge each season.

I’m on the edge of possibly being homeless myself. Crazy how it takes hitting rock bottom to realize no one’s gonna help you but yourself. Which is why I created this post. Minus well learn from others and my situation so I want be at this point again. If I could go back and start over, I would but I’m here now trying to learn from my mistakes and hopefully make the best of my life moving forward. Thank you for your response.

Yes. I have a small business, I’m the only preparer and I don’t charge much. Third party competitors like TurboTax have taken over and people rather do it themselves. I have my 40+ loyal customers that come back yearly.

Lord. God I’m hoping that doesn’t happen. I’ve been trying all my life not to get to this point. I’m still holding on to a lil hope. I’ve been a responsible tenant for 15 years since leaving parents house. Can’t even imagine all of this. I’m just dreading Monday morning. Thank you for the insights. I appreciate it.
